It’s not the Chrisitan who is grounded and acceptable to the Lord on their own merit, it is by the Spirit of God that the Chrisitan has the ability to approach the Ear of God. The world would have YOU believe that YOU and not God are the reason for everything that happens, that YOU are in control of YOUR destiny but do not believe these lies of the flesh Christian. If WE are in control of OUR own destiny and causing all things to happen in OUR lives then it is WE, the Chrisitan that is on the throne as the king and there is therefore no room for the Lord to sit on His throne and direct our paths.
