vv. 12-14 Confidence and comfort that God will use believers to do great works and will answer their prayers when these works and prayers correspond to God’s will and glory.
v. 15 Following Christ’s teaching will give us confidence that we are secure in his love (that we have a relationship with the Father through him). The assurance of obedience.
vv. 16-17 But how will we obey him faithfully and be used by him greatly? (I’m just a rescued sinner, an ordinary guy transformed by grace) Comfort and confidence through the presence and help of the Holy Spirit.
