The Story is NOT Over

Matthew 28:16–20 CSB
The eleven disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped, but some doubted. Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
I want to focus on something for just a moment:
When they saw Him (the Resurrected Jesus), they (the DISCIPLES) Worship, BUT SOME DOUBTED.
Jesus comes near, and gives the great commission!
He does not scold them for doubt.
He does not address the doubt.
He speaks to the WORSHIPPERS!

What can we learn from the Disciples?

Some had doubts, but when you read through the Gospels, Jesus works through them. For some it took longer. But Jesus works through them. He answers everything your heart needs!
Yes they made mistakes, but listen:

A mistake does not CHANGE EVERYTHING!

Peter denied Jesus 3 times! You think God did not know that was going to happen? Jesus told Peter,
Matthew 26:34 CSB
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to him, “tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”
Jesus KNEW!
But that didn’t change anything!
Jump to John!
John 21:17 CSB
He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” “Feed my sheep,” Jesus said.
Denied 3 times, then Jesus asks Peter a simple question: the same question 3 times. Restoring Peter!

Jesus CHANGES EVERYTHING!

The Resurrection of Jesus is so profound that the very disciples that you read about all through the Gospels change dramatically AFTER THE RESURRECTION!
Before the Resurrection, they were scared. They were bold sometimes, and they were cowardly sometimes. They were confident sometimes, and they were confused sometimes.
Man does that sound familiar?
But AFTER the Resurrection:
How? What caused the change?
It was not their own strength!
Listen at what history says about the Disciples life after the Resurrection:
HOW? What gave them this power? Not a WHAT, BUT A WHOM! Jesus!

You have THE SAME POWER!

The same STRENGTH!
