Do you believe God can save anyone?

A tough question for us to answer but one that requires our attention?

Most likely we will say that we do believe God can save anyone but our belief & our practicing belief do not always align.

There was a man named Louie Zamperini that grew up in the 1930’s & 40’s. If you’re not familiar with him he was a track star and shined in the 1936 Olympic games & was on track to medal at the 1940 Olympic games before WWII began.

Zamperini was a troubled student that found his escape in running.

After the way Zamperini was a bombadier and was stationed in the pacific. On one flight his plane was shot down & he along with two others were stranded at sea for 47 days before they were picked up by a Japanese boat.

Zamperini became a POW & spent 2 years in multiple camps where he was continuously singled out with abuse, torture, & starvation. He was actually pronounced dead and it wasnt until after he was released that his family found out he was alive.

Zamperini came home and began to train again for the Olympics but was injured. Suffering from PTSD from and demons of the past he spiraled. He had sworn off religion from a young age & was not interested in following the Lord. His wife converted to Christianity & invited him to a tent revival where a young man named Billy Graham was preaching.

Zamperini converted and his life was never the same. He would spend much of the rest of his days traveling on crusades to proclaim the gospel. He even traveled to Japan years later to find the Sergant of the camp he was tortured at to offer forgiveness & to proclaim the Gospel.

As we look
