44 “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls,
46 and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Lottery Ticket:
What makes the kingdom of heaven so valuable?
If I sold my motorcycle for a hidden treasure, I could turn around and buy it back and 100 more like it.
But what makes the kingdom of heaven so valuable?
Peace:
27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
33 “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
Purpose
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Priorities
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
Prosperity
31 “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’
32 “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
About Prosperity: He will redefine what it means to be prosperous.
This live is short:
14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
4 Man is like a mere breath;
His days are like a passing shadow.
Who wouldn’t want this?
47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind;
48 and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away.
The Kingdom attracts all kinds:
As believers; you do this as well.
16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
People will want what you have:
And will try and get it own their own.
Every once in while I will look at Cycle trader and I’m amazed at all the bikes that are 10 years old and haven’t even been ridden 5000 miles.
Its because someone saw you or someone like you riding and thought I want that! The freedom, the thrill, the ride. But then their but gets a little tender, or they get spooked……They see a bunch of post about grass clippings……
The same is true for people seeking God just for the benefits.
Jesus explains what happens to those folks.
49 “So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous,
50 and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
SO
The eternal destination of people depends on weather they are righteous or wicked.
An this is when we fall in the trap of comparing ourselves to one another.
“They are more wicked than me, so I’ll be ok….
Apart from Christ, we are all wicked.
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Who are the righteous?
21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Our purpose: The purpose of Freedom Biker Church:
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
