ME

This last week i was tested a lot from what i preached on (honoring God when things dont go according to plan)
driving (Every red light, missed turns, closed roads
friday day off (dinner plan, no dinner plan, drive people, ended up going home anyways)
i found myself very flustered and irritated and then it hit me, wow, SOMEONE just preached on this, and my attitude isnt correct right now.
Im grateful God let me take a look at myself, and he re-oriented my perspective and i was able to chill out and carry on!
I know some of you also had a rough week, it happened again…
it happens to us all, but now i think you and i know a little better what to look out for and how we can prevent mis haps in the future.
Weve been looknig at glorifying god, and i just wanna ask,
What does it look like to be unified? or Dis-Unified?

GOD

Philippians 1:20–30 (CSB)
My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all courage, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
For me, (because) to live is Christ and to die is gain. Now if I live on in the flesh, this means fruitful work for me; and I don’t know which one I should choose. I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ—which is far better—but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. Since I am persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that, because of my coming to you again, your boasting in Christ Jesus may abound.
Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel, not being frightened in any way by your opponents. This is a sign of destruction for them, but of your salvation—and this is from God. For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are engaged in the same struggle that you saw I had and now hear that I have.
Christian Standard Bible (Chapter 1)
Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
FOR ME / in my opinion, from my point of view, since i want what i mentioned before…
Christian Standard Bible (Chapter 1)
21 For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Explain:
Christian Standard Bible (Chapter 1)
Now if I live on in the flesh, this means fruitful work for me; and I don’t know which one I should choose.
He explains, living is for JESUS. FRUITFUL
do his work
spread the word/ gospel
make disciples
grow the church
my life is HIS
23 I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ—which is far better—
But being WITH JESUS
is in and of itself so much sweeter!
24 but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
STAYING and DOING the work are TOO IMPORTANT to enjoy seeing Jesus face to face, he says its Necessary to remain
seeing Jesus on you own is sweet, but to leave people behind to do so, that cant happen!
He goes on v.25
Christian Standard Bible (Chapter 1)
25 Since I am persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
Since i know this is what im supposed to do, i will stay and keep helping you grow in your walk with Jesus
Christian Standard Bible (Chapter 1)
26 so that, because of my coming to you again, your boasting in Christ Jesus may abound.
i hope you become proud and loud about JESUS
and one more thing…
Christian Standard Bible (Chapter 1)
27 Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel,
Live a life worthy of the sacrifice that Jesus made on your behalf

YOU BEING UNIFIED is a sign of destruction for your enemies, and a sign of hope and salvation for you
29 For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,
30 since you are engaged in the same struggle that you saw I had and now hear that I have.
