What Communion had light with darkness?
What Communion had light with darkness?
Shouldn't we be separate from the world. Should a Christian Follow the trends of this world or to enjoy the pleasures as people that do not fave the Holy Spirit in them do? why do we read the bible knowing how the the men of God Lived their lives and conduct themselves. completely surrender for the WAY for JESUS. ( Matthew 12:30) Because the Spirit of God that in us, we should not take Him places we know God would not be or singe off on. Remembering that God in His fullness of the Spirit is in you and me. We are the temple of God ( Matthew 21:13) “He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”” in essence stilling what belongs to God the life He purchased with the Blood of Christ!
Matthew 12:30 (ESV)
Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. ( NLT or anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me)
So let us evaluate ourselves our day to day living are we honoring God? are we separate ? are at the least striving to to live worthy of this calling. ( Philippians 1:27)
Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel,
2 Corinthians 6:17 “Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,”
First He says go out from them, and be separate from them are we amongst them do we view this as extreme! to live out what we read and profess with our mouths, are we paying the Lord lip service? are trying to be on the narrow road with the few?
Second He says touch no unclean thing, then i will welcome you. do we long to be welcomed by Jesus.
What is the unclean thing in context i believe its anything the lord wouldn't approve of if he where standing over our shoulder watching us do. and in reality He most defiantly is.
Hebrews 4:13“And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
Thirdly: He says -Then I will receive you.
Who among us does not want to be received by God. and its not by works our obedience is in gratitude.
Romans 12:1 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
2 Corinthians 7:1 “Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.”
The promises Matthew 5
I will dwell with them!
Walk with them
Be their God
You will be His people
He will receive you
And be to you a Father
And he will call you sons and daughters of the Creator of everything
Is this not more then enough for you to show your obedience not for works but out of gratitude.
