Focus Verse:

Matthew 7:13–14 KJV 1900
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Joshua 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

#3 The Few Chose God Above All Else:

Daniel 3:16–18 “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
a) The Few Chose God Daily:
Luke 9:23 “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Luke 12:32–34 KJV 1900
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Two Gates: (Defined, Characteristics of the Gates, Destination of the Gates)

Matthew 7:16–20Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
Broad gate - wide gate (there is plenty of room to accommodate the unrepentant, the self-righteous and the proud, careless, reckless)
There is a way that seemeth right to a man
Those who lean to their own understanding
Those who think they are wise - have become fools
Mockers with their harsh speeches,
drunkards and the sexually immoral etc.
2. Narrow gate - strict way (will be found by those who intentionally seek ( Ask, Seek, Knock)
a. Entering in at the strait gate requires “intentionality”, purposed living - someone once said that heaven is a prepared place for prepared people and hell is a prepared place for unprepared people.
Matthew 7:7–8 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Key terms - Many and Few
Support Scriptures:
Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV 1900
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
23  Choose any life but the life of God and heaven, and you choose death, for death is nothing else but the loss of the life of God.
