3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. 7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God. 19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. 20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.

1. The people of Israel were slaves to an evil taskmaster!

King James Version (Exodus 1:1-13)
1 NOW these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. 2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, 3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, 4 Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. 5 And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. 6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.
7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. 8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. 9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: 10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. 11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. 12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. 13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:
I can see the devil say this is my territory.
Not for long devil.
This is the issue see. Your territory based on what? You have set up strongholds and you have put idols in place in the land everywhere.

2. Because they were slaves to an evil taskmaster they were being tortured, beaten, and even left for dead!

King James Version (Exodus 1:14)
14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

3. God saw that they were afflicted and full of sorrows.

King James Version (Exodus 3:7)
And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt,

4. He not only saw but He also heard their cries from the affliction!

King James Version (Exodus 3:7)
and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
God sees and He hears!

5. God acted and brought them out by the blood!

God acted!
King James Version (Exodus 3:8)
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey;

6. Before they came out by the blood there was a fight that happened!

There was a showdown!
God could have struck down every single Egyptian with a single blow!
The enemy resisted! He used the taskmasters. He used his authority over them. He had strongholds built up in their lives.
King James Version (Exodus 5:1-2)
5 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. 2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

7. Before He brought them out and while He brought them out He dealt with the false gods they had been influenced by!

i. The plague of blood - Against the Egyptian god of Hapi and Osiris.
“One of the greatest gods revered was Osiris, who was the god of the underworld. The Egyptians believed that the river Nile was his bloodstream.”
Khnum, Tauret, Sepek
ii. The plague of frogs - Against Heqet, the Egyptian god of fertility.
“In December, the Nile receded from its flooding stage, leaving behind ponds and marshes, and the sound of frogs would fill the air as they claimed these waters. To the farmer this sound indicated that the gods who controlled the Nile and made the land fertile had completed their work. This demonstrated that Hapi was active for he was the one who controlled the soil deposits and the waters that made the land fertile, guaranteeing the coming harvest.”
iii. The plague of gnats - Against Geb, the god of the earth.
iv. The plague of flies - Against Kheper, and even Amun, the god of the wind.

God had to deal with Egypt in Moses before He could send Moses back into Egypt.
The other night.
I’ll never survive without it.

8. People can only truly come out by the blood but in order for them to be totally free all the false gods got to fall!

9. The enemy is already a defeated foe you just need to trust in the blood!
