What did you say?
What did you say?
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
We all know this verse but what does it really mean, why do all things…
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
PREDESTINATION This is our first word that we will be discussing. Predestination is a word that folks disagree upon its exact meaning. But simply, no matter how you look at it, Predestination is that idea that God is not surprised about who’s going to be in heaven. And Because God is not surprised, he has planned for your salvation.
And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
Because he is not surprised about who is going to follow him, God calls those who are going to follow him, he is not surprised so if you believe in Jesus Christ today God is not surprised by that and so he called you to follow him.
And he called you and you chose to follow him, and when he called you he justified you.
JUSTIFICATION - Being Made Right with God
Justification simply is being made right with God.
The root here is Justice, Justice is getting what you deserve. Well the wages of sin is death, so we deserve death and eternity in hell but through justification, God has made us right before him by removing our sin with Jesus on the cross.
SUBSTITUTIONARY ATONEMENT the ultimate uno reverse.
Now since God has traded the perfection of Christ for our sin. He will one day glorify us.
GLORIFICATION - Putting on the robes we will wear in heaven,
This is the moment when we enter eternity and receive the fullness of heaven. Explain already not yet. And how it is no more cause it is all now.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Why? Because he’s not suprised, he has called us, made us right with him, and we will wear those heavenly robes.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Why? Because he’s not suprised, he has called us, made us right with him, and we will wear those heavenly robes.
