1) What are all of the main ideas/concepts/points in this passage?
What is being conveyed by the events themselves?
What is the author trying to communicate by the way it has been presented?
God speaking to Moses - telling him to convey this to the people
I am the LORD - reminding the people who he is
and what he is going to do, that he is in control
redeem - alot packed in here, outstretched arm and with judgements
mighty acts, judgement against Egypt, so they can know the LORD
LORD your God, they will be his people
oral passing of information: up to this point they knew the LORD and his promises as and intellectual exercise, but had never seen the LORD at work, experiential knowledge
know - more than a mental knowing, understanding, but a personal knowing the LORD as their God
