Philippians 1:15-26

Have you ever been accused, attacked or have you suffered because of your stand for Christ?

1. (V12) (Chains help spread the Gospel) Everything that has happened to me has helped to spread the Gospel

a) What has happened to him?

Chains / Suffering

b) Everyone knows that he is suffering for Christ

Other prisoners have commited crimes, but they understand Paul is innocent

c) Paul’s ability to suffer in boldness with a joyful attitude is contagious

Believers have gained confidence

2. (V15-19) Paul judges the motive for preaching Christ

a) Whether their motives are correct or not the Gospel is preached and Paul rejoices

Paul finds joy that Gospel is preached

3. (V20) I trust my life will bring honor to Christ

a) What really matter? Our life brings honor to Christ
