Sermon: Bishop R.A. Nichols
Good after noon, once again I want to thank you for being here to honor Mrs. Jannie. I know it means the world to Daryl that you are here.
As I reflect on Jannie’s life one word comes to mind and that is Hope.
weather it was the way she would harass in that loving way, or the love she expressed for her family she had hope.
Like all of us, she had her struggles, let us be careful not to judge anyone on the worst day, @ heart, Jannie was an encouraging. She walked in the ministry of encouragement.

1. Jannie is with her Lord!

2 Corinthians 5:8 (NKJV)
8 We are confidSucent, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Jannie is not lost she is in the presence of the Lord!
Revelation 21:4 (NKJV)
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Our dear one is no longer in any pain or suffering. She is standing in the victory that God’s grace promised her.
our sweet sister has taken her place in the stands with the saints that have gone before.
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)
2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2. These truths that we stand in doesn't mean that we wont have grief, we will we do and we should.

The shortest verse in the bible happened in a grave yard at the death of a friend of Jesus.
John 11:35 (NKJV)
35 Jesus wept.
Let’s look at the very next verse.
John 11:36 (NKJV)
36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”
He Loves Lazarus and Daryl, He loves you too. He knows exactly what you are going through.
in this time of grief, press into Jesus.
My Prayer is that when those dark hours come, and they have, and they will, press into Jesus your High Priest.
Hebrews 4:15 (NKJV)
15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
The Lord of Heaven, He knows your pain, He knows its how deep it is, He knows how wide it is.
please allow Him to walk with you in this time.
On a personal note: you where a great husband to her. you took great care of her and you are an example of what I husband should be, of what a husband can be. I commend you sir!
The Lord is saving your tears- He knows!
Psalm 56:8 (NKJV)
8 You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?
I say again lean on Jesus, lean on us as well but lean on Jesus!

3. Finally, we are not like those who have no hope, our hope is in Jesus!

1 Corinthians 15:53–58 (NKJV)
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 (NKJV)
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
“ I can only Imagine,”: Mercy Me.
Closing Prayer: Bishop R. A. Nichols
