God isn’t done with Israel

A. God’s working through Gentiles to draw Israel. (11-16)

1. God is saving Gentiles.

Matthew 27:25 NASB95

And all the people said, “His blood shall be on us and on our children!”

2. God will also save the Jews.

Genesis 15:6 NASB95

Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.

B. Salvation shouldn't cause Gentiles to criticize Israel.17-18

1. Although God rejected many Jews, He is bringing in many Gentiles.

2. This is no reason for contempt because what you have is from the Jews.

C. Reconciliation is only through belief. 19-24

1. Gentiles are only grafted in through faith.

2. The result of belief and unbelief is the same for all.

They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.

3. Believing Israel will be reconciled to God

2 Corinthians 10:17 NASB95

But he who boasts is to boast in the Lord.

1. Remember God is holy

2. Meditate on God’s grace and glory.

3. Look for ways to care for others, even when it’s challenging.

4. When you get it wrong or fall short, repent.
