His Workmanship

Ephesians 2:8–10 NKJV

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

The word workmanship is a little Greek word poiema, from which we get our word poem. It means you are a work of art.

Striving to achieve.

When we have trained ourselves to think the only way to get ahead is based off what you do.

Our Identity is not something we achieve, but something we receive.

Sin enters in and deforms what is excellent in every way.

Discipleship reforms what is deformed.

Discipleship- the continual surrender to God’s good design for identity, purpose and community. Your identity determines your destiny!!!!

Genesis 1:24 NKJV

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.

Genesis 1:25 NKJV

And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

IT WAS SO!

Spoken pronouncement of the Creator is so powerful that when He tells nothing to become something, it becomes what He intended in what He said.

His pronouncement carries within it the identity He has given you.

Enemy wants you to be defined by your hurt!

God meets you where you are, but loves you too much to leave you that way.
