The Prodigal Son
When you wake up through God’s conviction and realize, what have I done, you’re in a place of emptiness, busted and disgusted, locked up, depressed and empty, Jesus is right there waiting for you to surrender and realize you need a Savior.
We need to be ready to change or we will end up back where we started (Egypt).
“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
“For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Many just wast away and before you know it, you end up broke again.
“Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance.
It’s time to say, “Father, help me,” in desperation. It may seem bad that we call out on Jesus in this time, but Jesus is calling your name and it doesn’t matter to Jesus. He wants our hearts, no matter when we come to Him. He will love us to our last breath.
The Lord knows what to do to get your attention but do you keep rejecting Him?
You see, my friend, satan wants to lie to you and put guilt, shame but Jesus just wants us to worship Him and receive His love.
Jesus shuts all doors so we can come to Him.
The reason why Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood on Calvary is to forgive us of our sins and stand before God the Father clean.
He wants to take all excess baggage, unforgiveness, and make us light.
He is no respecter of persons. I am no better than you.
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.
But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.
Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.
When He is allowed in by us, through confession, that’s when He fills that empty void.
When the prodigal returned it was for hunger but was specifically to his Father.
When we come to the point we are living in sin, that is the very reason Jesus died on the cross.
There’s pleasure in sin for a season.
What are you running from?
Deep inside there is a missing void that’s trying to be filled and only Jesus can fill it.
Won’t you let Him fill you today?
