Words
Is there a movie or TV show that you can quote, or do quote constantly?
For me there are countless movie lines and TV show lines that I spit out daily.
1. I am Speed.
2. Blue flower red thorns, Blue flower red thorns
3. Have you got a sweet tooth?
These are just silly examples of how WORDS are powerful. From movie quotes to song lyrics, words stick with us and effect our lives.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
At first this verse comes off as confusing, but as we discuss this scripture tonight I pray your eyes are opened to its truth.

Think, Say
Have you ever said something that you regret?
- When I was in middle school I started to play more sports, and this made me a little more popular.
- So, I started to hangout with the “cool” kids.
- One day I remember some of these “cool” kids were talking about someone behind their back, when I listened I realized they were talking about one of my best friends in the whole world.
- Instead of walking away, or using my words to stand up for my best friend I remember I said, Yeah, he is so weird.
- Later that day I found out that someone went behind my back and told my best friend what I had said. I remember feeling such shame and disappointment in myself.
- I had to go to my friend and apologize for what I said.
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

Clayton said, how can we use the same mouth to sing praises to the Lord that we use other words to tear people down.
It comes down to what is in your heart.
Matthew 12:34 (ESV)
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
When you are grounded in scripture, and your heart is filled with the word of God. Than your mouth will reflect your spirit.
