Tell the story
And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
“David was greatly distressed”
to be distressed v. — to be or become afflicted with or marked by anxious uneasiness or trouble or grief.
The pressure to produce…
I feel the pressure
As a:
Husband
Father
Pastor
Executive Director
Brother
Son
Friend
Entrepreneur
The reason why the pressure is so grievous is because other people are involved too!
But I can’t afford to be impulsive or panic
And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.”
“David inquired of the Lord”
to inquire v. — to address a question to and expect an answer from.
Ask God for you next move…
Ask God how to handle the pressure!
The problem that I want to deal with is the struggle to move forward after He answers.
“He answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.”
To move forward takes faith!
Just because God answers, doesn’t mean you will move forward to Pursue…
Why is it a struggle?
Fear of Change: Even if the answer seems clear, change itself can be frightening. Moving in a new direction often involves leaving behind the familiar, which can create anxiety and uncertainty.
Self-Doubt: We may doubt in our own understanding or interpretation of what we believe God has told us. We might question if we heard right or if we are capable of doing what is asked of us.
Fear of Failure: The possibility of failing, especially in something we believe is divinely inspired, can be daunting. We often worry about the consequences of failure, both practically and spiritually.
Comfort Zones: Staying within a comfort zone is easier than stepping out into unknown territories. Even when we know we should move forward, the comfort of current situations can be a strong deterrent.
Social and Cultural Pressures: Some might be concerned about how their decisions will affect their relationships and standing within their community. Fear of judgment or alienation can play a significant role in their reluctance.
Lack of Support: Moving forward on a path that others might not understand or support can be isolating. Without support, individuals might feel less confident in their decisions.
There is no time to waist!
Pursue…
Pursue: ”pursue" generally means to follow or engage in something with the goal of achieving or catching it. It involves actively seeking out or striving to attain an objective
A Healthy Me, is a me that will pursue!

Inner Peace: There is a profound peace that comes from believing you are doing what God intends for you. This peace often stems from the alignment of one's actions with their beliefs and values, reducing internal conflict and anxiety.
Positive Impact on Others: Following God’s guidance often involves serving or helping others, which can have a positive impact on the community and individuals around you. This can create a ripple effect of kindness and positivity.
