What opportunities do we have this week?

Adoption week! Hear / Pray / Go / Connect

Hear - (Sunday message and hopefully you feel a conviction to be involved to some level).

Pray and Fast - We can all do this! Fasting is the quickest way for us to physically feel was what spiritually need. We need God to intervene and He asks His people to pray! So That is what we will do this week.

Few opportunities this week that we are pumped about!

On Wednesday, Oct. 4 - we are going to be attempting to cover 24 consecutive hours in prayer! (Look at your Bulletin and scan the QR code and grab a slot.

Prayer slots in 30 minute segments (when you sign up for the prayer walk will get emails for prayer points and their is also a (16 minute video to help guide you in your prayer times).

Plus specific prayer requests from local organizations (Christian Hope Association and Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic.

Also, on Wednesday, we will be supplying some of our ministry (men’s and women’s bible studies and student ministries with these prayer requests and ask them to include them in their normal prayer time.

Go - We want to see first hand and participate first hand. On Sat. Oct. 7, we will be heading down to Bellingham to participate in a prayer walk. There will be a brief orientation time, explanation of the ministry and short musical worship segment before we go out and participate in a peaceful, prayer walk outside of Planned Parenthood.

There is a code of conduct that everyone present must agree to uphold. Our purpose is to pray and to be a presence, not to engage in conversations, or to hold up signs. We are not there to protest in any way, we are just there to pray. It will be a family friendly environment and I hope we get a bunch of kids and students as well as adults there!

We will meet Clinic at 9 a.m. for the prayer walk.

Connect - the connect portion will be after our prayer walk is over, some of you may feel compelled to be more involved in our community going forward and there will be opportunities to learn more about getting some training for sidewalk outreach, orphan care, engage people in a mentorship program.

We also want to let you know of two other opportunities that you can involve yourself in. They are not with Love Life, but they both help bring awareness to the cause of life in our county.
