But the good news of the gospel is found in the very next verse of Isaiah 53: “Surely, He has borne our griefs and [He has] carried our sorrows.” We can have rest for our souls, because he has carried OUR sorrows, he has carried them on HIS strong back, and he will carry YOUR sorrows, IF you but come and yoke yourself to him by faith.
