Have A Word Of PRAYER!
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name!
Introduction:
Martin Luther King Jr. declared, "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."
Let me give you some background
The prophet Isaiah lived in the 8th century , during a challenging period in Israel's history.
During Isaiah's time, the kingdom of Judah was facing external threats from powerful nations like Assyria. Now hear this The people of Judah were tempted to put their trust in alliances with other nations or they believed in their own military strength rather than relying on God.
In the midst of this political and social instability, Isaiah was called by God to deliver some messages of warning, some messages of judgment, and some messages of hope to the people of Judah.
Isaiah 41:10 specifically falls within a section of the book of Isaiah where God reassures His people of His faithfulness and protection.
People were worried, people were fearful so God is talking directly to his people
He says - “Fear Not”
In this passage, God speaks directly to Israel, addressing their fears and anxieties. He reminds them not to be afraid because He is with them, promising to strengthen, help, and uphold them with His righteous right hand.
"Fear not" is a recurring theme throughout the Bible, appearing numerous times in both the Old and New Testaments. This phrase is often used as a command or exhortation from God to His people. It carries with it the idea of courage, trust, and faith in God's sovereignty and in God's protection, even in the face of adversity or danger.
In the context of the Bible, "fear not" is not merely a suggestion but a directive to trust in God's power, in God's goodness, and in God's faithfulness.
It acknowledges the natural inclination of humans to experience fear, especially in challenging circumstances, but it also encourages us to overcome fear through our faith in God.
The command "fear not" is often accompanied by assurances of God's presence, provision, and protection.
Throughout the Bible, we see examples of individuals who faced daunting circumstances but chose to trust in God rather than succumb to fear.
From Abraham's journey into the unknown
David's confrontation with Goliath, these stories illustrate the power of faith to overcome fear and to accomplish great things in partnership with God.
Matthew 10:31 NKJV
31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
This statement tells us about the value God places on His children and His commitment to care for them, even in the midst of adversity.
Ultimately, the command "fear not" covers the message of the gospel: that as believers, as Christians, as Christ Followers we can find hope, we can find courage, and we can find peace in our relationship with God.
By trusting in His promises and relying on His strength, we can face life's uncertainties with confidence, knowing that we are secure in His love and care.
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
10 Fear not, for I am with you;
I don’t know who I’m talking to, but hear this God said
"for I am with you" He is telling us no matter what you’re going through his presence is always with you!
Now think about this
He is Immanuel - God With Us: The promise of God's presence is wrapped up in his name Immanuel, which means "God with us."
Matthew 1:23 NKJV
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Isaiah 7:14 NKJV
14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Reminder - In Christ God wants to to dwell among His people and to be actively involved in their lives.
"for I am with you" means Divine Guidance and Protection: Even when you look throughout the Bible, you see instances where God leads His people, provides for them, and shields them from harm. For example, in Exodus, God leads the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and protects them as they journey through the wilderness.
"for I am with you" means Strength in Weakness: Knowing that God is with us gives us strength, especially in moments of weakness or vulnerability.
2 Corinthians 12:9–10 NKJV
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The Apostle Paul experienced this firsthand when he wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, When he wrote that text
"for I am with you" means Comfort in Times of Trouble: God's presence brings comfort and solace to His people, especially during times of trouble or distress.
Psalm 23:4 NKJV
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
This verse reminds us of the peace that comes from knowing that God is by our side, guiding and comforting us through life's darkest moments.
"for I am with you" means Communion with God: Through prayer, worship, and obedience to His Word, we can cultivate a vibrant relationship with the Creator of the universe.
Matthew 28:20 NKJV
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Once our mindset changes! Once we know , that you know that you know we can walk confidently in our r faith, knowing that we are never alone.
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Be not dismayed is Freedom from Fear: The command " is a call to reject fear, anxiety, and despair knowing that we have the assurance of God's presence and God's provision.
We know fear or Dismay can come from various sources, such as personal struggles, personal challenges, changes in society, or global crises.
Know this - we can find hope and strength in the knowledge that God is with us, guiding us through every trial and sustaining us with His love and grace.
When God says "I am your God," He is asserting His sovereignty and authority over His people. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and He holds ultimate power and control over every aspect of our lives. This reassurance reminds us that we belong to God and that He is actively involved in our affairs.
When God says "I am your God,"The phrase "I am your God" speaks to the intimate, personal relationship that God wants to have with each of His children.
When you read scripture - God refers to Himself as "the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob," emphasizing His covenant relationship with His people.
He is the God Of Ken, Tressa , Laron and Luana! You can insert your name and your family members name right there!
Ya’ll we are not just servants of a distant deity but beloved children of a loving Father.
When God says "I am your God," He is a God who keeps His promises and remains steadfast in His love and commitment to His people. Despite the uncertainties and challenges of life, we can trust in God's unchanging nature and rely on His unfailing faithfulness.
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
The promise "I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you" gives us insight into God's role as our source of strength and assistance.
When God promises to strengthen us, He is offering power beyond our own abilities. His strength is not merely physical or emotional but encompasses spiritual fortitude that enables us to withstand adversity, His strength helps us to overcome challenges, and His strength helps us to fulfill God's purposes for our lives.
Philippians 4:13 NKJV
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
When God says yes I will help you ! Means he is personally involved in our lives. God does not offer generic assistance but tailor-made support that meets our specific needs and circumstances.
His help comes in various forms, including guidance, provision, comfort, and protection.
Psalm 121:2 NKJV
2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
God's help is not limited by time , God's help is not limited by circumstance , God's help is available to us whenever we call upon Him.
It does not matter - Whether we are facing immediate crises or ongoing challenges, God promises to intervene on our behalf and provide the assistance we need. His timing is perfect, and His resources are limitless.
Psalm 46:1 NKJV
1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
Now hear me - when the text tells us that God promises to strengthen and help us, He also is telling us to participate in this process through faith and obedience.
My reliance or Your reliance on God's strength does not negate our responsibility to take action and cooperate with His plan.
When we trust in God's promises and seek His guidance, He empowers us to live victoriously and fulfill His purposes for our lives.
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand"
In ancient Near Eastern cultures, the right hand held special significance as a symbol of strength, authority, and favor. It was considered the hand of blessing and protection. When God promises to uphold His people with His righteous right hand, He is conveying His unwavering commitment to our welfare and security.
God is my support and stability , God is your support and stability in life's journey. In moments of weakness, doubt, or adversity, God's hand serves as a firm foundation upon which you and I can rely. It provides stability amid the storms of life and ensures that we will not falter or fall.
Psalm 37:24 NKJV
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
The description of God's right hand as righteous talks about His perfect character and his commitment to justice.
When God moves in our lives - the move is always guided by righteousness, the move is always guided by integrity, and the move is always guided by moral purity. God is intimately acquainted with our needs, concerns, and struggles.
The blessing God has for you is for you! Tailored to your need! His support is not distant or impersonal .
Isaiah 42:6 NKJV
6 “I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,
Psalm 139:10 NKJV
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.
Ya’ll God is committed to us! We must be committed to him
Isaiah 41:10 NCV
10 So don’t worry, because I am with you. Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you.
As Christ followers , we can take comfort in the knowledge that we are securely held in the right hand of our loving and faithful God.
God Bless you and God keep you is my prayer
