What are some of the things we here when people start hitting pain?
Visiting our Words from God again.
Has anything come up when you are on the way of following God’s lead?
Luke 8:16–18 (NASB95)
“Now no one after lighting a lamp covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see the light. “For nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. “So take care how you listen; for whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has shall be taken away from him.”
“So take care how you listen”
Search my heart oh God.
Whoever think he has what he has will be taken. Pride
He who has more shall be given. Humility
This pain we feel from time to time is not something we need to be afraid of.
If the pain reveals what is hidden that is a good thing.
Some of our pain is to keep the darkness of our lives hidden.
Secrets will be known.
Paul was on a journey while imprisoned.
On this journey, Paul was bound and powerless to change his future.
He heard God that he would stand before Caesar and that all who were with him would not be harmed.
Acts 27:34–36 (NASB95)
“Therefore I encourage you to take some food, for this is for your preservation, for not a hair from the head of any of you will perish.” Having said this, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of all, and he broke it and began to eat. All of them were encouraged and they themselves also took food.
Right after this Paul was collecting firewood and was bitten by a viper.
Another pain, but it turned into a testimony for the good news of who Jesus was.
Your pain will turn into a testimony of the good news of Jesus.
What has Jesus told you about this journey?
If He has not said anything, let us ask Him today?
Psalm 145:14 (NASB95)
The Lord sustains all who fall And raises up all who are bowed down.
If you are experiencing pain we should be encouraged that we are to continue to the goal before us.
If you are doing great and feel like you are on the path moving towards what God wants for you, find someone around you to encourage.
If you don’t know where to go and you are stuck, ask God to give you something to move towards.
God gave you a word so that is a destination you are walking towards.
His word to us is life giving and it creates a spring of life within so we can be His word bearing fruit on the earth.
You are a light set out to be seen for those finding their way.
You are one of His secrets that He wants revealed.
Danie sharing her story…
Does pain mean stop? no
“So take care how you listen”
Activation:
Jesus, I want to be a light on the lampstand so others can see the light.
Is there something You want me to know about my current journey?
Who do You want me to encourage?
Luke 11:33–36 NASB95
“No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. “The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. “Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness. “If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”
Luke 12:2–3 NASB95
“But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. “Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Mark 4:21–22 NASB95
And He was saying to them, “A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, is it, or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on the lampstand? “For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light.
