1 Peter 2:13 (D-R)
Be ye subject therefore to every human creature for God’s sake: whether it be to the king as excelling,
Be subject to everyone.
As free and not as making liberty a cloak for malice, but as the servants of God.
Do not make liberty a cloak for malice. Be subject even to the most difficult.
Having your conversation good among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by the good works which they shall behold in you, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Make your conversation good. Do good works always.Never detract others.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you, as strangers and pilgrims, to refrain yourselves from carnal desires which war against the soul,
Do not have any carnal desire.
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
Honor all.
Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle but also to the forward.
Be subject even to the unworthy.
For this is thankworthy: if, for conscience towards God, a man endure sorrows, suffering wrongfully.
It is thankworthy when you suffer wrongfully. It is a mark of Gods favor. For this is what you are called to do.
Amen, amen, I say to you, that you shall lament and weep, but the world shall rejoice: and you shall be made sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
You will be sad when the world is happy. But remember that your sorrow will be turned to joy.
If you share in the sorrow of Jesus you will share in his joy that will last forever!
A little while, and now you shall not see me: and again a little while, and you shall see me: because I go to the Father.
The second coming of Jesus will be in a little while. All that time since His ascension is in the eyes of God only a moment. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday, which is past and gone. Psal. 89 v. 4.
You will be sad when the world is happy. But remember that your sorrow will be turned to joy.
