Open your heart

V 2. Paul starts off by telling the Corinthians to open their hearts to him, that he has not wronged, or tough other to do wrong, or came to them in wanting what they have in envy (fleecing the flock) selling the gospel.
V 3. Or even condemn them because they did it out of ignorance but for correction, his heart was for them to succeed in the faith in life and death.
V 4. ( great is his boldness of speech) or in bluntness with winch he speaks to them and boasting of them, i believe because of their response in obedience to his correction the joy seeing their repentance to God. even in his trials he can take heart in knowing they responded to the word of God given to them in love and firmness.
V 5. Even when we are trying to encourage others we don't stop going through our own times of texting or hardships that could have our own fears
V 6. While we are downcast at times God is able to comfort us through it, by another believer of friend.
2 Corinthians 1:4 “who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

V 7. How wonderful it is to see someone you've been pouring into grow in Christ. to see their eagerness for the gospel to learn to seek our God with all their heart.
V 8. The Holy Spirit is talking about in our correcting of sin of those who say they are in the faith we may not like the initial conflict it may cause between you and a brother or you and a sister.
V 9. we may have an opportunity to rejoice in their response to it, if it leads to repentance. A Godly response to correction leads to repentance. and in turn you gain a brother.
V 10. But the sorrow that the world teaches leads to death, the world sorrow is selfishness, self pity and in turn leads away from Jesus. Godly sorrow leads us back to the cross to the One who paid it all. so when we are sorrowful look to Jesus not yourself. you’ll never find comfort in self but in Christ Jesus.
Prov 17:22

A joyful heart is good medicine,

But a broken spirit dries up the bones.

Matthew 26:74

Then he began to curse and swear, “I do not know the man!” And immediately a rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the statement that Jesus had made: “Before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

V 11. Look at all that this Godly sorrow produced, earnestness vindication not wanting to continue in sin, indignation ( hate for sin) holy fear of Offending God, a longing for righteousness justice, what passion to do what is right, what readiness to punish those who tolerate sin. proving yourself to be innocent.
2 Cor 2:5

5 But if anyone has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not for me, but in some degree—not to say too much—for all of you. 6 Sufficient for such a person is this punishment which was imposed by the majority, 7 so that on the other hand, you should rather forgive and comfort him, otherwise such a person might be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. 8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love for him. 9 For to this end I also wrote, so that I might bput you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things

V 12. The heart of this correction is not to single anyone out but the sincerity of Gods loving kindness would be reviled to you and the others in the reading of this letter.
