1 Peter 5:10 D-R
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you and confirm you and establish you.
After you suffer he will perfect, confirm, and establish you.
Matthew 16:16 D-R
Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.
Christ from all eternity is the true and natural Son of the living God.
Matthew 16:18 D-R
And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
All of the adverse powers of Satan and hell will never prevail over the Catholic Church.
Matthew 16:19 D-R
And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.
Peter and his successors are endowed with a heavenly power to bind and to loose, closing the door or opening the door to heaven. Indulgences loosen the bands of temporal punishments due to sin.

“By divine inspiration Peter’s mind soared above that which his senses could perceive, and with the eyes of his spirit he recognised the Son of the living God, and the glory of His Divinity

Supernatural light and grace is needed to pierce the veil of human nature.
John 15:2 D-R
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
The fruit bearing branches are purged to bear more fruit. God sends me tribulation and temptation to cleanse me and render me firm like the vine or like Jesus.
John 15:7 D-R
If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will: and it shall be done unto you.
If I remain in Christ He will give me only what is profitable to me. If I have love and produce good works all that I ask will be granted.
Wisdom of Solomon 5:16 D-R
But the just shall live for evermore: and their reward is with the Lord, and the care of them with the most High.
The just live forever and their reward is with the Lord.
Matthew 15:23 D-R
Who answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying: Send her away, for she crieth after us:
Jesus did not answer her right away because He wanted her to ask with greater earnest.
Matthew 15:25 D-R
But she came and adored him, saying: Lord, help me.
When you pray, adore Jesus and say Lord help me. Is it not good to take the bread of the children and cast it to the dogs?

To make his servants more sensible of his mercy, and more eager to obtain it, he often appears to pay no attention to their prayers, till he had exercised them in the virtues of humility and patience. Ask, and you shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened to you. A.

God wants to see our humility and patience.
Matthew 15:28 D-R
Then Jesus answering, said to her: O woman, great is thy faith: be it done to thee as thou wilt: and her daughter was cured from that hour.
Jesus says “Be it done to thee as thou wilt” So powerful with God is earnest and fervent prayer.
