In Judges 13 begin to examine the life of one of the most colorful, yet careless men of the book of Judges. He is the Incredible Hulk, the Hercules, the Superman of the Old Testament. His name is Samson, a/k/a Sunny. He is blessed by the Lord but is nonetheless a failure. He is a warrior for the Lord but is nonetheless weak.
Samson is one of the great puzzles of the Bible. He was a man of great victories and great failures. Samson physically was the strongest man who ever lived but he also was very weak. He was the weakest strong man to ever live.
Samson’s life shows us that life’s supreme failure is to have much from the Lord and do little with it for the Lord! Samson’s life also teaches us that the Holy Spirit is all we need to do mighty things for the Lord!
