Sometimes sad

Do you ever feel sad?

Zaccheus was sad.

Luke 19:2–3 ESV

2 And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. 3 And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature.

Heard Jesus was in town

Jesus is God’s Son

Zacchaeus heard Jesus did WONDERFUL things

Wanted to see Him

Oh,

Zaccheus was sad bc short;

COuldn’t see the road over the heads of the other people

Zaccheus saw tree and thought...

Then he climbed it

Do you think God loved Zacchaeus?

Yes!

Even though sad, God loved him

Sometimes boys and girls sad when tummies hurt

Does your tummy ever hurt?

God wants us to be nice to our friends

But sometimes children aren’t nice

Sad when won’t share toys?

Yes

But God loves us when sad and helps us feel happy again

Repeat after me: God is love.

Let’s thank God for loving us when we are sad
