Colossians 3:16-17

Ephesians 5:1-7 Revelation 2:18-25

Putting it all into practice:

At this point there are likely several groups of interpretation, I’d like to speak to two of them:
Position #1: I understand that importance of music, and want to do my best to navigate music, but I don’t know how to apply what it all.
Navigating the issue:
1. Does the music prioritize the flesh, especially to the point where it is a distraction and you can’t clearly hear the message.
2. Does it line up doctrinally with true Bible teaching.
3. Does the music Idolize something other than God.
4. Does it come from a source you should be concerned about promoting.
Take Action:
1. Fix what you know right away. You will make mistakes.
2. Consume responsibly from here on out
*Make a list - Patch the Pirate, Hamilton Family Music, Old Time Christian Radio, Hyles-Anderson Radio Station, List of Families, Churches, and Bible Institutes that promote Godly Music.
*Read your Bible Hebrews 4:12
Hebrews 4:12 KJV 1900
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 KJV 1900
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Prioritze music being written by people of like faith
*Consider teaching you children an instrument*
Psalm 98:5-6
Psalm 98:5–6 KJV 1900
Sing unto the Lord with the harp; With the harp, and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet Make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.
3. Ask questions you have?
Position #2: I’m not convinced that music itself carries morality. I’m not sure we should be so concerned about the instrumentation, or style of music, or what songs we sing, as or who wrote the song, as long as the lyrics align with the Bible.
The choices you make as a Christian need to eventually get past asking only, is it right, or is it wrong. Does not the Bible teach us that there is more to our decisions. Paul is clearly describing how we are to concern ourselves with the difficult idea of what influence.
There is nothing inherently wrong with drums.
But There is something true about the nature of there design. They do drive Rhythm.
In the a similar way to a gun not carrying inherent morality, its user may abuse it, and it is obviously extremely dangerous.
Guns are not always helpful for the occasion.
1 Corinthians 10:23 KJV 1900
23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Romans 14:13 KJV 1900
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
*The heart of a Pastor who preaches against bad music is twofold. It is to protect the flock, and to promote the Glory of God.
Acts 20:28 KJV 1900
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
All of these things carry with them influence. Instrumentation influences people.
Instruments influence the feel.
Song design influences the feel. “Yaweh” You should be able to sing a song accapella
Style influences our taste
Song choice influences our connection with the author
The devil is at work behind the scenes.
Think about how music enters into the church.
Music is introduced from the author.
From there we see 3 primary ways it travels
Music is moved from person to person
Music is introduced from the internet
Music is introduced from the industry

I am reading a book called the Physics of Heaven. The book that seeks to build a bridge between Christians and new age woo woo, with false prophecy and abuse of Scripture.
· How bad
o No fellowship until repent
· Part of the Bethel movement
o Endorsed by Bethel leaders, sold by Bethel’s book store, and Bill Johnson and Beni Johnson contributed multiple chapters to it.
o They have been promising revival and spiritual power for years
o This book is presented as part of that.
· Romans 8:18–19 (ESV) 18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
Romans 8:18–19 KJV 1900
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

o “I felt like there was more to those verses so I began earnestly seeking the Lord as to what they meant. He shared that, from the day of Pentecost until now, no child of God has ever fully realized the power that has been put within us. God has given us power to raise the dead and heal the sick and cast out demons and we’ve done that to a point, but.... Although we are extremely happy and grateful for the power we have operated in, it in no way has reached the measure of what He intends for us.”
-Franklin, Judy; Davis, Ellyn. The Physics of Heaven (p. 2). Destiny Image, Inc.. Kindle Edition.
o To the authors, this is about Christians needing spiritual awakening and empowerment in this life.
§ To Paul, it’s about the new creation and eternity.
· Colossians 3:4 “4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
o 1 Corinthians 15 “1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon m…”
o 2 Thessalonians 1:7–12 “7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
· Her whole journey starts with a misuse of Scripture.
o What the book offers you
PIC 02
o “Doing the “works” of Jesus and even “greater works” should be an everyday occurrence for us. When a child gets cancer, we should be able to tell that cancer to leave, now, because that child is not meant to die early; he is meant to have a long life. In the garden of Eden and up until the time of the flood people lived long lives. Psalm 90:10 says that we should live for 70 to 80 years and in Genesis 6:3, God says man’s “days should be an hundred and twenty years.” This means everybody should be living until they are at least 70 because God has allotted each of us that amount of time on this earth. But sometimes we don’t even have to pray. Peter merely walked past people and every disease or infirmity his shadow passed over was healed. I imagine that he wasn’t even aware people were being healed by his shadow until they told him. Peter carried the Spirit of God within him. He carried the original power of “let there be light”—energy, power, light—within him. And that’s what we should be doing.” The Physics of Heaven (p. 8).
-But they say people will be able to point at a tsunami and make it stop.
PIC 03
· “After I had researched sound for nearly 10 years, the Lord began showing me visions of what was to come. This really excited me and I began sharing what God was showing me wherever I went. The visions are like movies and they take place after God has released His new sound and people are transformed by it. In one of the movies, I saw Christians who had been affected by the coming God sound standing on the shore of an island like Japan. A tsunami was coming and as it approached the shore, all they did was point to the tsunami and command it to stop and suddenly everything became still. In other visions I saw Christians who had been transformed by God’s sound stopping floods and natural disasters. I saw hurricanes headed toward our coast and Christians speaking to the winds and telling them to stop. The winds obeyed and everything became calm. I saw tornadoes moving toward a town and the people who were affected by this new sound pointed at the tornadoes and told them to stop and the whirlwinds collapsed into nothing. I saw people who were changed by the sound God is going to release watching a wildfire so out of control nothing could put it out. These Christians pointed to the fire and told it to stop and it was immediately extinguished.

· Psalm 90:10 “10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; And if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, Yet is their strength labour and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”
o No “should” just an observation of what was typical for those who died naturally of age related illness.
Have they got you on the hook?
· It would to Bethel
o Spiritual power is hugely important.
o Are you worried it will lead you to error?
PIC 05
“Because almost every time God “moves on” He takes us into unfamiliar territory that seems dangerous and sometimes seems to contradict what He’s done in the past.” Physics, 18.
-Result: no anchor
“There are many stumbling blocks to be expected as we extract “precious” truths from the “worthless,” but I refuse to let one of those stumbling blocks be my fear that I will somehow be tainted or captured by the devil as I try to recover and express those truths.” Physics, 17.
-We’ll talk more about this later.
o This book is false prophecy

-Yet speaking for God
· PIC 07 (three quotes)
· “We are being prepared for a second Pentecost” 22.
o 10 times the power of the first Pentecost
· “The Lord is ready to use sound, light, and energy in ways we never dreamed, but we first need to have some foundational understandings.”
o (Intro)
· “God is saying, ‘There are mysteries to be understood, inheritances that are untended, uncared for, unoccupied. But they’re there for the taking.’”

· “A Word from God
Here is a prophetic word the Lord gave me about the coming importance of sound.
Just as the people were in the upper room on the day of Pentecost, when suddenly there came from heaven a noise, and this noise was like a violent rushing wind, there will come again a noise that I will release from heaven. This noise—this sound—will be released and, just as those people in that upper room were changed, people who hear this sound that I will release will be changed. While I am not calling any of my people to sit in an upper room and wait, I am calling them to a place where their spirits are in an upper room position to receive what I am about to release. This sound that I will release will cause people to think differently.
o (Intro)
· PIC 09 (three quotes)
· “This book is just a precursor to the revelation that God is going to give us when He releases a new, transforming sound.” (Intro)
· “The next thing the Lord told me was that soon He would release a sound from heaven that will literally change the structure of how we think.” 2.
· This summarizes it well…
o “We’re on a voyage of discovery into realms that may contain mysteries of God, but, then again, they may not.” 20.
It is absolutely presented as prophecy and God given spiritual insights obtained over a decade of prayer, research and listening to God.
· They also say “maybe”
· The new age connection
o Chapter 2 “Extracting the Precious from the Worthless”
-PIC 10
-“In Jeremiah 15:19, God says, “If you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become My spokesman.” We may have to delve into areas we previously considered off-limits to extract the “precious” from the “worthless” and recover lost truths that belong to the people of God.” 11.
§ Scripture support
· Jeremiah 15:19 (ESV) 19Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.
Jeremiah 15:19 KJV 1900
19 Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.
· Jeremiah’s meaning
o PIC 11
o Handbook on Jeremiah, “Presumably the words that came from the Lord himself are precious; whereas, what Jeremiah has just been saying in complaint is worthless. tev translates “If instead of talking nonsense you proclaim a worthwhile message,” and gecl has “If you speak no more such nonsense, but weigh your words.”[1]
o Get these wrong attitudes away from you. Trust me and don’t give in to complaining.
o If you do this, you’ll be my mouth.
§ God’s spokesman must faithfully say what God says without adding their own carnal complaints about it.
· Physics of Heaven meaning
o Go into new age practices and find good stuff to claim as Christian.
o “I decided to examine New Age thought and practice for anything “precious” that might be “extracted” from the worthless.” Physics, 15.
o Her new age experiences.
PIC 12
§ “I moved to Sedona fully prepared to discount everything I saw and heard as coming from a source other than the God I knew and loved. But, as a scientist, I was intrigued by what I found there. I saw healings and mystical experiences and revelations to rival anything I had seen or experienced in the church. I encountered an understanding of the natural world and how it interacted with the spiritual that I had sensed but had never been taught in any of my science classes. It wasn’t that I wanted to become a New Ager, I just wanted to find out if maybe they had uncovered some truths the church hadn’t. The strange thing was, much of what I saw and heard embodied biblical principles and could be backed up by Scripture.” 14.
· Her use of Scripture is decidedly bad.
§ Sedona –
· PIC Sedona
· PIC 13
· “Now we are beginning to hear more and more revelation that is in line with what New Agers have been saying all along and we are hearing more and more teaching about Christians “taking back truths” from the New Age that really belong to citizens of the Kingdom of God.” Physics, 15
Bethel is one source of that teaching.
· Physics of Heaven declares that everyone who wrote a chapter in the book agrees about this.
o PIC 14
o “They also all agree that there are precious truths hidden in the New Age that belong to us as Christians and need to be extracted from the worthless.” Physics, 18-19.
· BILL JOHNSON CHAPTERS
o PIC 15
o “We’ve been given an inheritance of generations. We’ve been given an inheritance of hundreds of years of mystics, of revivalists, of those who broke into realms of the Spirit to leave something as an inheritance, and it needs to matter to someone. Discovering the “secret things” that God has left for us has to matter. I believe one of the keys is for us to come to the place where we recover lost mysteries of God by learning how to give honor to those who are willing to sacrifice to make sure those mysteries are reclaimed.” Physics, 38.
§ Originally, Christian mystics
§ Now, new age practices.
o Bethel supported fortune tellers, Christian tarot card readings, etc.
§ Couched as courageous
· PIC 16
· “Many in the church have tended to write off all dabblings into quantum mysticism as blasphemous and demonically inspired. However, there are a few courageous Christians who are beginning to speak up and say, “Wait a minute, there may be some God truth there that really belongs to us and that we should know about!” These Christians are spearheading an effort to extract the precious from the worthless and make those truths available to the church at large.” Physics, 16-17.
o Chapter 5 does the heavy lifting on making a case for copying new age practices and beliefs.
§ “Authentic vs Counterfeit” – Jonathan Welton”
§ PIC 17
§ “Jonathan Welton teaches that whenever there is a real, there is sure to be a counterfeit. We shouldn’t be afraid to examine the counterfeits because God’s power to keep us is mightier than the devil’s power to steal us away. Jonathan tells us that we need to be much more concerned about reclaiming all of our stolen goods from the enemy than about being afraid of the deception of counterfeits.” Physics, 41.
· Consider the logic
o 1 If there is a real, there is a counterfeit.
§ Turns into “if there is a counterfeit, then something is real about it. And you can learn about the real from the counterfeit.”
§ Scripture objects.
Deuteronomy 12:29–32 “29 When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; 30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. 32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.”
· The Bible is opposed to syncretism.
o 2 God won’t let us be deceived.
2 Corinthians 11:3–43 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
Galatians 4:8–118 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. 9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. 11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.”
Welton seems to think he is inerrant.
· PIC 18
· “Many Christians have been afraid to reclaim the authentic because they consider the power of the counterfeit to be overwhelmingly deceiving. The perception is that one could accidentally fall over the edge and suddenly be operating in the counterfeit without meaning to. Personally, I have a lot more faith in the Lord’s ability to keep me than in the devil’s ability to steal me away. Jesus said that He has us in His hand and no one can snatch us out.” Physics, 44.
§ Welton goes on to say
· PIC 19
· “This brings us to the most important point of this chapter. If there is a counterfeit, there is an authentic that we need to find and reclaim. Every time we see a masquerade, we need to look closely to properly discern what is being counterfeited, because a counterfeit is evidence that an authentic exists. Consider the example of counterfeit money. If there is counterfeit money, it proves that there is real, authentic money. Just because counterfeit money exists, we do not burn all our real money to avoid deception. The best response would be to get as many people as possible to use real money, so that when counterfeit money appears, it is recognizable by all. The fact that there are people operating in counterfeit miracles proves that there are real miracles available to the Church.” Physics, 42-43.
o Even his example fails.
§ Study REAL bills to spot fake ones.
· No PIC for this one.
· “Consider taking this as a personal challenge: If you see a counterfeit, use it as a signpost that points to the authentic.” Physics, 43.
o Now we study cults, new age, and other false religions to adopt some of their practices. Abusing Scripture to prooftext support along the way.
o This quote finally makes clear what he means.
§ PIC 20 (two quotes)
· “With all this talk about counterfeit and authentic, by now you may be scratching your head hoping for examples. The best examples I have found are in the New Age Movement. They have been trafficking in the church’s stolen goods for a long time. I have found throughout Scripture at least 75 examples of things that the New Age has counterfeited, such as having a spirit guide, trances, meditation, auras, power objects, clairvoyance, clairaudience, and more. These actually belong to the church, but they have been stolen and cleverly repackaged.” Physics, 49.
· “when you see a counterfeit, don’t shrink back in fear—let this cry rise in your heart, “THAT IS MINE, AND I WANT IT BACK!”” Ibid.
· Acts 19:18–2018 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. 19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.”
o They didn’t keep the scrolls and study them

o “Experiencing Heavenly Realms”
Co-authored with Beni Johnson – a pastor at Bethel till she recently and tragically died of cancer.
Forward by Bill Johnson
o PIC 51
§ “These two authors are among the most qualified people I know for such an endeavor to write a book about experiencing God. One is my wife and the other is my secretary.” Experiencing, 24.
o It’s all in your imagination.
o PIC 52
§ “You first have to realize that it’s not unlike seeing with our imaginations. Bob Jones, the prophet, uses the term “sanctified imagination.” Pastor Bill Johnson says, “A sanctified imagination positions you for dreams and visions.” Experiencing, 58-59.
§ “James Goll states, “I am convinced that any believer can develop the seer capacity.”2 Now, I can hear people say “That’s just vain imagination and you’ll go into error if you imagine stuff.” I agree that there is a danger of error if we imagine things. But there is also a danger of missing out on incredibly powerful and godly experiences because of the fear of being deceived.” Experiencing, 59.
o PIC 53
§ “WHAT ABOUT DECEPTION? At first I was worried about being deceived. So one day I talked to Bill Johnson about my concern. He responded by saying, “Then your God is too small and your devil too big.” I realized that I loved the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and that the Holy Spirit was my Guide and my Teacher. I trust Him to lead me in righteous paths, and I stay accountable to those who are in my life. I know the Word. So I’m no longer afraid of being deceived. Fear comes from the enemy, and he doesn’t want us to experience God.” Experiencing, 61.
· Bill failed her.
§ Then she leads you in a prayer.
· “Father, I come right now in the name of Jesus, on the authority of Your Word, and I ask for You to open my spiritual eyes. Help me to see Your realm and Your world in a clearer way than ever before. Sanctify my imagination, Lord. Stretch the limitations of what I think, hope, or believe because now my imagination is under Your leadership! Make my imagination a birthing place for Your visions, Your dreams, Your plan, and Your purposes. Help my imagination, through the power of Your Spirit, be able to receive what You are speaking and doing. In Jesus’ name, amen!” Experiencing, 64.
o PIC 54
§ “Everything you see, even if you feel like you are only imagining it, has significance.” Experiencing, 87
§ BUT, she had doubts.
· “Again I wondered if I was just making this all up.” Experiencing, 87.
o PIC 55
§ “As uneasiness about the door came over me, I began to wonder once again if I was making this all up in my imagination.” Ibid, 94.
§ Her biggest stronghold.
· “Father called me over to Him and asked me what was wrong. So I told Him that I doubted that all of this was real. I sat there with my head in my hands, thinking. He asked me again what was wrong. I told Him that I had a great fear that He would do something bad to me, or that I would go into deception, be crushed by it, and somehow be humiliated. He told me that this thinking was a stronghold of distrust and that I had to go to the wall and chop it down like the rest of the strongholds the Holy Spirit had shown me.” Ibid, 94.
§ Who cares!
· “Well, I thought, even if I am imagining all of this, so what? I love God more. How could that be wrong?” Ibid. 95.
§ Finally, she blames that on Satan.
· “He wanted me to think that what I had seen wasn’t real, that somehow I had made it up in my own mind.” 96.
o PIC 56
§ The kind of visions she has
· “Then the Holy Spirit and I started to dance again, and this time I wasn’t just standing while He danced around me. This dance wasn’t the soaring dance we had done previously but a deliberate step-by-step dance of me learning to follow His lead—learning the gentle pressure of His hand on my back and the subtle movement of His hand in mine. I knew it was to become the dance of two people who had danced a thousand dances together; a couple who had learned to detect even the slightest of nuances from their partner and was able to anticipate a change in direction even before the rhythm became apparent.” Ibid. 40.
o PIC 57
§ “When I awoke, the Father put His right hand up to me and I climbed up onto His hand. Now I realize that the next part of this sounds very strange, but I am writing just as I saw it. The Father tossed me into His mouth like a pill and swallowed me! Traveling fast, I ended up in His heart. I was standing to one side, watching as cells rushed in and out of His heart like waves. Each cell was labeled: LOVE. I looked across His heart and saw people I knew. I waved at them and they waved back. I even saw my two sons. They were in the recesses of His heart, in the shadows, for they were not walking with God at that time. They weren’t joining in our joy at being in the heart of God. They were very stiff, but they were there. Everyone is in God’s heart because He loves everyone, but not everyone joins in and those who don’t join in have no joy. I became concerned when I didn’t see Pastor Bill and Beni. Maybe this isn’t of the Lord, I wondered. But just then, Pastor Bill and Beni rode in on one of the love cell waves. They rode the love cells like you would ride a horse and Pastor Bill was even wearing a cowboy hat. They had been looking around, and they told me and some other friends to come with them so they could show us what they had seen. Each of us jumped on a love cell and began to follow them. They led us by God’s throat so we could hear what His voice sounded like. Then we went up to His eyes where we stopped. Here we could walk up to His eyes and look out, like we were in an observation tower.” Ibid., 142-144.
o PIC 58
§ She trains others, officially, at BSSM (Ch 25, “Taking Others to Heaven”)
· “At Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM) near the start of each new school term, the leadership has me come to “do my Heaven thing.” Ibid., 175.
· “I share with them how much it looks like imagination, but it comes from one’s spirit, and it is with the leading of the Holy Spirit. I tell the students to relax and be peaceful, because they can’t enter into an encounter when they are striving. By this time, their excitement is palpable in the air, sort of like children going on their first ride at Disneyland.” Ibid., 176.
o 2 Peter 1:21 – no prophecy from the will of man.
o PIC 59
§ “Here is how I lead others past their obstacles and into the Kingdom, where they can begin to see with the eyes of their spirit…” Ibid. 176.
§ “First, I tell them to close their eyes and not to open them until I give them permission. Then I tell them to picture Jesus out in front of them. He doesn’t have to be real clear because when I first saw Him it was shadowy. I wait and then ask them to raise their hands if they have a picture of Him.” Ibid., 176.
o PIC 60
§ “Next I tell the students to walk up to Jesus and then wait. I ask again how many are standing right in front of Him. By this time His presence is growing very strong because we have entered into a heavenly atmosphere where people are anxious for an encounter with a loving God. Then I tell them that He is going to do something. How do I know? Because this is what He told me to do. I don’t understand all the whys and wherefores. I’m just a little girl trying to share the love of my Abba/Daddy. This is where it starts to get very interesting. I have them raise their hands if Jesus has done something. Then I go around to them with a microphone and ask them what He did. Their eyes are still closed because I don’t want them to be distracted. Oh the things I hear. “He hugged me.” “He kissed me.” “He’s dancing with me.” “He put His hand on my head.” It’s that touch. Jesus loves to touch us. Isn’t that the way love is here in our world? When we love someone we want to be near them, we want to touch them. Do you really think it’s any different with Him? Then I tell them that He wants to say something to them. I wait for a while. Then I go to the people who have raised their hands in affirmation that Jesus has spoken to them and have them share. “I love you.” I’m proud of you.” “I have so many wonderful things to show you.” “I have a plan for your life.”
· Notice the prompts.
o Stories and then examples

Position #2: I’m not sure of the best way to move forward.

What if I am someone that knows absolutely nothing about music? Even with everything I’ve heard I’m not sure how to proceed. It seems like too much work to determine what’s acceptable and not acceptable.

He shared that, from the day of Pentecost until now, no child of God has ever fully realized the power that has been put within us. God has given us power to raise the dead and heal the sick and cast out demons and we’ve done that to a point, but.... Although we are extremely happy and grateful for the power we have operated in, it in no way has reached the measure of what He intends for us.”

o “Doing the “works” of Jesus and even “greater works” should be an everyday occurrence for us. 8).

§ “In Jeremiah 15:19, God says, “If you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become My spokesman.” We may have to delve into areas we previously considered off-limits to extract the “precious” from the “worthless” and recover lost truths that belong to the people of God.” 11.

It wasn’t that I wanted to become a New Ager, I just wanted to find out if maybe they had uncovered some truths the church hadn’t. o “We’ve been given an inheritance of generations.
§ Deuteronomy 12:29–32 (ESV) 29“When the Lord your God cuts off before you the nations whom you go in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’ 31You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every abominable thing that the Lord hates they have done for their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods. 32“Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it.”
· The Bible is opposed to syncretism.
o 2 God won’t let us be deceived.
§ 2 Corinthians 11:3–4 (ESV) 3But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
§ Galatians 4:8–11 (ESV) 8Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. 9But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? 10You observe days and months and seasons and years! 11I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain.
§ Welton seems to think he is inerrant.

§ “The next thing the Lord told me was that soon He would release a sound from heaven that will literally change the structure of how we think.” 2.
§ PIC 22
§ “You’ve asked me, “What do you think the sound was that came?” and you’ve mentioned a vibration. I believe the vibration takes place in us. There are negative and positive vibrations. A positive vibration is like a portal into heaven. A negative vibration is like cancer. When the power comes, the positive will kill the negative. It’s a vibration. Everything vibrates... rocks, trees, everything vibrates. When we vibrate I think it’s opening a portal.” 23-24.
§ PIC 23
§ “This coming new sound isn’t just something that you pick up with your ears, but it’s greater than anything you can understand, It can change DNA so we are genetically growing up. It’s possible that they would have missed God altogether. Instead, after hearing a new sound, they were willing to allow that sound to cause a synesthetic response in them. Through this cross-wiring of their spiritual senses, the neural pathways of the spirit realm created a myriad of spiritual encounters.” 98.
