VCA:
Welcome to our BSF leaders sharing day...
Some quick logistical details for today...
In a few minutes we will pray…then TAKE A GROUP PICTURE…then eat…then at 10:15-10:20ish we will move into a time of sharing together...
I also have a couple of quick announcements…
LEADERS FOLIO:
Faithful service to God flows out of a personal, intimate, and dependent relationship with God.
Sometimes when we are busy serving others, we unintentionally neglect our own relationship with God.
2 weeks ago I encouraged the whole class, including each of you, to make a plan to meet with Jesus over the summer…remember- don’t eat chips for lunch…or you will come back in the fall..depleted..and serving will feel like a “have to” instead of a “get to”
BSF has something specifically created for the growth of leaders called “The leaders Folio.” This is something I personally have gone through the last two years and plan to do again this summer.
You can read this document from start to finish in an hour…but later today I am going to post a suggested reading plan to slow it WAY down so you can really internalize the material…and as you do…
May the Holy Spirit demonstrate His power to you as you grow in the knowledge and likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says: “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
SUMMER PRAYER REQUEST (CARDS ON TABLE): The past two summers, we have asked every leader to write a personal request that you would like prayer for over the summer so that myself, Anna and Lea can be praying for you specifically. So at your seat is a notecard and up front here is a basket…before you leave today- write your request and drop it in the basket. I’m going to give you a minute or so to write and then we are going to pray together.

PRAY
Before we close, just a reminder that we will pray in here tomorrow as a leadership for Pre-Class prayer at 9:15.
To end our time together, we are going to sing…but before we do
I’m going to read…
John 1…it’s where we started and it feels like the perfect place to end.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
Thank you for saying YES to Making Jesus Known through BSF this year…
Let’s stand and sing together..just our voices…
Lauren is going to lead us…
