1 Peter 3:8-18

Intro: Do you have good days ahead of you or bad days? Many have an attitude that it is going to only get worse. What if I could tell you today how you can make sure you have good days ahead rather than bad?
Love others
Like-minded
being united in the same mindset as another, live in harmony with one another
Sympathetic
sympathize with each other
Love one another
brother loving- love each other as brothers and sisters
Compassionate
tenderhearted
Humble
humble-minded
Bless those who do you wrong
Do not repay evil for evil
Do not replay insult for insult
slander
Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you
Choose to respond with a blessing
Repay it differently
This is your calling
You were called to live this way
You will have eternal life
The three “musts”

Control your tongue- Must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech
Repent- Must turn from evil and do good
Pursue Peace- Must seek peace and pursue it
You don’t just happen to have peace or hope to have peace
It takes work

It is better to suffer for what is right
Suffering does not mean bad days

Set apart Christ as Lord in your heart
To Sanctify
Make as dedicated to God
In your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy
Be ready to tell others about Jesus
You have what they do not- hope
They need the answer
It’s not cheating to let them have it
Do so with gentleness and respect
