MURDERING YOUR FEAR WITH FAITH

Lets Pray
Does Faith play a role in our personal revival?
What is it’s purpose?
Do you have faith that Jesus can restore you today?
Here is the hard question, Will you let Him?
Hebrews 11:1 CSB
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.
“the proof of what is not seen” Does that mean that it is blind faith?
Bryson is going to help me with this.
See Bryson couldn’t see his Father but he know that he was there. He also knew that his father loves him enough that he would catch him.
1 Kings 17:1–7 CSB
Now Elijah the Tishbite, from the Gilead settlers, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, in whose presence I stand, there will be no dew or rain during these years except by my command!” Then the word of the Lord came to him: “Leave here, turn eastward, and hide at the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan. You are to drink from the wadi. I have commanded the ravens to provide for you there.” So he proceeded to do what the Lord commanded. Elijah left and lived at the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan. The ravens kept bringing him bread and meat in the morning and in the evening, and he would drink from the wadi. After a while, the wadi dried up because there had been no rain in the land.
Who is Ahab?
Bowed and worship baal
setup an altar for baal in the temple of baal
He built the temple
1 Kings 16:33 “Ahab also made an Asherah pole. Ahab did more to anger the Lord God of Israel than all the kings of Israel who were before him.”
Elijah lives at wadi Cherith (key-rith) and the ravens provide him food.
who would like to have to give this message?
1 Kings 17:12–14 CSB
But she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I don’t have anything baked—only a handful of flour in the jar and a bit of oil in the jug. Just now, I am gathering a couple of sticks in order to go prepare it for myself and my son so we can eat it and die.” Then Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid; go and do as you have said. But first make me a small loaf from it and bring it out to me. Afterward, you may make some for yourself and your son, for this is what the Lord God of Israel says, ‘The flour jar will not become empty and the oil jug will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the surface of the land.’ ”
We are out of food!!!
“so we can eat it and die”
“Don’t be afraid”
The food won’t run out!!
1 Kings 17:15–16 CSB
So she proceeded to do according to the word of Elijah. Then the woman, Elijah, and her household ate for many days. The flour jar did not become empty, and the oil jug did not run dry, according to the word of the Lord he had spoken through Elijah.
Praise God two birds one stone!!!!
The LORD didn’t just save Elijah but also the women and her boy.
1 Kings 17:17 CSB
After this, the son of the woman who owned the house became ill. His illness got worse until he stopped breathing.

1 Kings 17:24 CSB
Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know you are a man of God and the Lord’s word from your mouth is true.”
Quickly summarizes chapter 19.
Faith overcame fear!!!
Why is that important in the life of a follower of Jesus?
We are all called to stand for truth!
Elijah was called to stand for truth!
Elijah put his fear to death and spoke the truth.
Elijah didn’t water down the message to make it easier to take.
We can’t water down the gospel to make it easier to take.
IF YOU THROW A TEA BAG IN A SWIMMING POOL IS IT TEA?

This whole conversation sounds a lot like the garden.
Did GOD really say you would die?
We have to stand for GOD’s word even when other don’t like what we have to say.
We are not called to be tolerant.
Revelation 2:18–20 CSB
“Write to the angel of the church in Thyatira: Thus says the Son of God, the one whose eyes are like a fiery flame and whose feet are like fine bronze: I know your works—your love, faithfulness, service, and endurance. I know that your last works are greater than the first. But I have this against you: You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.
THY-A-TIRA
Revelation 2:22 CSB
Look, I will throw her into a sickbed and those who commit adultery with her into great affliction. Unless they repent of her works,
They must repent!!!!
God won’t just understand!
We must stand on repentance!
I know that is not easy but Jesus did’t promise easy.
John the Baptist Beheaded
Paul stoned and beaten
Peter crucified
Luke was hanged
Matthew Speared to death
The list go on and on.
The Cross is a symbol of torcher!
