Good morning…welcome to our BSF Class Sharing Day..
I am so excited to be able to celebrate with all of you today what God has done this year!
Before we get started- I wanted you to stand up, greet someone and tell them 1 thing you are looking forward to this summer.
9:33:
Before we jump into sharing I have a few announcements..
KIDS:
If you brought your kids with you today…first..thank you for coming…
I know it is a lot to bring your kids here and I am so grateful you chose to do that.
I want to encourage you to relax and enjoy the morning…
Your kids are not going to sit still or be perfectly quiet..that is ok…so spread out, let them roam...we want them here…and we want you here...if you need to have a moment and step out, feel free to head to the back or to the atrium and re-join us again when you can.
FUTURE STUDIES
As you know…in the fall we will be studying the Book of Revelation…
but I am excited to let you know that BSF has also announced the following two studies…
so…after Revelation we will be going back to the Old Testament to finish the People of the Promise study….Exile and Return..
and then… in 2026-2027- we will be studying the book of Romans.
so just something to look forward to as we begin to think about the future.
REVELATION REGISTRATION
Our first class day will be on Wednesday, September 11.
If you have any questions over the summer, you can reach out to our BSF Class Administrator at BSFcnugent@gmail.com
Most of you have signed the permission for your children, but if you haven’t- please do that as soon as possible so you can complete your registration!
- Please know that registering for next year does NOT guarantee placement.
- In September, IF you are placed, your new group leader will call you and let you know that you have a spot in the class.
- If you bring children, your GL will also let you know at that time if they were also able to be placed in our class.
- If you are not able to be placed- we will also contact you and let you know.
- Our desire is that every woman and child who desires to study God’s word through our BSF class would have a place- and we are going to do EVERYTHING we can to place as many women and children as we can.
Please join us in praying that God would protect the leadership commitments of our leaders for next year and that God would provide a place for all who want to study the book of Revelation!
REVELATION MATERIALS
Materials (lesson/notes) for Revelation will be available from BSF HQ in late June/early July.
Once materials are available, you can:
Order a lesson book, SP lesson books, and BSF swag (t-shirts/sweatshirts/etc.) from mybsf.org under the store tab
you can also Order a lesson book or SP lesson book locally from Minute Man Press in Blue Ash (please note that these will ONLY be available at the Blue Ash location)
However-**You do NOT have to purchase a lesson book as all materials are made available for FREE to class members on mybsf.org and the BSF app
WORD GO:
As you begin to think about Revelation for next year…you might feel a little intimidated or like you need to have some sort of special knowledge coming in…
but at BSF…there are no awards or brownie points for head knowledge..we are all growing..together…for some of you- you have read and studied Revelation before- your challenge will be to come at it with a fresh perspective…
For others- this will be your first time- you have avoided the book or just never read through it…your challenge will be to let go of pre-conceived notions of things you have heard.
The first time we did Revelation at BSF I was anything but excited…
I sat right over there…and the teaching leader a the time said on week one…that as we studied “We were going to watch the lamb…and walk in victory..”
and man..God blessed my socks off as we studied Revelation…
and so ladies—come next year excited and prepared to Watch the Lamb..the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world…and walk in victory.
So what do you need to do to prepare for next year's study over the summer?
…nothing…come next year prepared to read REVELATION with fresh eyes…from a fresh perspective.
I would encourage you NOT to read Revelation, or do another study on Revelation or take a class on Revelation or listen to a hundred sermons or podcasts on Revelation.
in fact…can I challenge you to do something..there are 66 books in the Bible..
We are going to spend 30 weeks in Revelation starting in September…
soooo pick one of the other 65 books to study.
If you haven’t made a plan for this summer or you made a plan to study Revelation and now you need a new plan…
BSF has a wonderful app called wordgo.
WORD GO
it is a free Bible study resource with scripture, questions, study notes and teaching sent straight to your phone.
You can even create groups and share this with friends.
No bsf experience or membership is needed to use wordgo…so take advantage of this awesome resource over the summer and STAY IN GOD’S WORD!
Ladies- you don’t need a BSF lesson to hear from God…you have his word..and you have the Holy Spirit in you…
Let the shepherd guide you…remember..His sheep know his voice… listen..learn…and come back to us in September ready to dive in to Revelation-…and look forward in anticipation..not trepidation...to what God will teach you and how He will transform you through this study.
PICTURE: Ok..before we go any farther…let’s pause for a quick picture....
VOLUNTEERS/LEADERSHIP
so BSF is run COMPLETELY on volunteers…and without volunteers..there would literally be NO BSF class…

These women have made countless phone calls, text messages, and emails to you…they are shepherds…women of prayer…master facilitators…and they have spent all year preparing you to go and live for Jesus
Satellite Group Leaders
This year we have had the opportunity to make Jesus Known through our specific BSF class through two satellite groups. Women who would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in BSF have been able to engage with God’s word and learn and grow- reading the same scripture, doing the same lesson, and listening to the same lectures…Many of you donated books at the beginning of the year so that these women could study God’s word-thank you for being a part of what God is doing…and now. I want to introduce to you our leaders of those satellites…
we have
Colleen Carter who led the satellite at the Transformational Recovery Center
and
Robin Gay- who led the satellite at the Marsyville Correctional Facility
Thank you ladies…
Staff
CLASS STAFF- again- hold your applause...
I get the honor and privilege to serve alongside 5 other women on our class staff to lead this class....
I am going to ask all of you to come up and stand in front together...
Cindi Nugent- CA- Cindi leads and trains our admin. team…I couldn’t begin to give you a comprehensive list of all she does…But I am here to tell you that she serves with excellence…magnifying God in everything as she serves faithfully each and every week. She is kind, compassionate and steady and we are so grateful for her service to God through BSF as our class administrator.
Ashley Conrad- PS-CS- Ashley leads, trains, and oversees our BSF kids- or our preschool program- and leaders. Ashley has the unique ability to bring calm to chaos. She faithfully led our preschool leaders and children and even had her 4th baby in the middle of the year- showing up a few weeks later like she had never left, with a baby at her side. Finishing what God had called her to this year despite sleepless nights with a newborn.
Hannah Martell- SP-CS- Hannah runs and oversees our Student Program-leading and training the SPCL’s…Hannah’s love for Jesus comes out in an abundance of joy that she brings with her everywhere she goes…she is wise and faithful…serving the Lord week in and week out while homeschooling her own 4 children at the same time.
Anna Mullady and Lea McQuinn-....their OFFICIAL title in BSF is substitute teaching leader-but I am here to tell you that nothing about that title describes even a portion of what they do…
They teach as part of our teaching team- certainly not as substitutes…they lead and train our class leaders…they shepherd..give seminars…they are wise and discerning-and prayer worries…
I would describe them as the John’s of our staff team. Anna has a way of bringing depth and beauty to scripture- connecting it seamlessly to the world around us…and Lea is a shepherd, full of compassion and always the first to listen…they are a huge gift to our class, our leadership, and to me…
Let’s give it up for our class staff…
Let’s give it up for our class staff…
ladies- to say that it takes a village for BSF to run each week is an understatement…
one more thank you- I also just want to give a shout out to Kenwood Baptist Church who opens their doors to us each and every week…they allow us to take over their parking- making it hard for staff to even get inside the building…they let us use every nook and cranny…and they refill all the toilet paper and paper towel rolls with a smile on their face- genuinely full of joy that we are here…if you see a staff member- be sure to thank them. This church is truly a gift to us and we are so very grateful.
SHARING TIME:
Just some friendly guidelines before we get started...
1st…sharing is optional..we will bring the mic. to you- just raise your hand and someone from our admin. team will bring you a mic.
Here are some friendly ABC’s of sharing day....
A- Be Audible- you have a mic…speak clearly and into the mic so everyone can hear you.
B- Be brief- We want to hear from as many women as possible so please keep your sharing to under 2 minutes…if you go over , our loving admin. team will slowly walk towards you and sound a friendly sound letting you know your time is up...
C- be Current…we want to hear what God did through THIS study THIS year....let’s focus on what unites us- and that is our study of John, so we won’t focus on what God is doing at your church or another Bible study or what God did 20 years ago :)…save that for another time
D- be discreet- please do not use specific names- remain loyal and confidential if you are referencing someone else in your sharing
E- Exalt the Lord- this day is about God...our leadership DOES NOT want the glory- so we know you love your GL and your PSCL, you can thank her personally after- but for today..let’s keep God as our focus...
and to help you..if you don’t know how to end…all you have to do is say…:”To God be the Glory” when you are finished...
it’s ok to be nervous…but let me tell you- if your heart is thumping out of your chest- that just might be the Holy Spirit in you, encouraging you to share....
but if you don’t have anything on your heart…dont just talk to fill silent moments…sit back..and listen…God is ALWAYS working…even in the silence- there is no need to be afraid of it or to try to fill it.
if you feel yourself start to become overwhelmed by emotion- I have good news… this is a room full of women..you are in safe place..there are lots of tissues in this place…for both happy and sad tears...
also…it may be tempting to clap after someone shares..but please don’t so that we can maximize our sharing
There are some questions behind me on the screen to help you... :)
If you brought children to our BSF Kids or student program, we would love to hear how God has used BSF in the life of your child!
Also, If you have made a decision to allow Jesus to become your personal Savior and Lord this year, we would love to hear even a simple declaration of your decision - it would glorify God and encourage us to hear this.
and Remember that what happens at sharing day…stays at sharing day…
So let’s pray…and then get this party started!
PRAY
Alright- so let’s share and I will make sure we are out of here by 11!
John told us in chp 20 that this book was written that that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
Every word in John’s gospel was meant to point us to Jesus…to make Jesus known…
So I’m going to close out our time today I am going to end with how we started…
in the beginning…
John 1….
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7
He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.
8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”)
16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.
17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
LET’S PRAY AND THEN SING TOGETHER
TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS…
