Application - Apply the truth of Gods Word

Confession - Living in a state of confession

Transformation - Into the holy image of God

Salvation, is more than simply repeating a prayer after a pastor, walking to the front of the church, or even getting baptized. Salvation is living a life completely and exclusively devoted to God.

Application

Psalm 119:11 ESV

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Apply

The first way that we daily live salvation is through application of Gods word.

Deodorant

- It is funny in life how particular moments seem to stick with you.

- I can remember starting middle school because at the same time I was starting middle school I was starting something called “Puberty”

- With puberty comes some crazy things like hormones and voice cracks, but possibly the scariest thing of all that puberty brings is this little thing called Body Oder (BO)

- CRAZY, before puberty you can get away with not wearing deodorant but all of a sudden puberty hits and you can cause physical harm to someone with just the lift of an arm.

Not Wearing Deodorant

- On my first day of middle school I made a grave mistake and decided I did not need to put on deodorant (even though I had some at home).

- I can remember being so embarrassed by my BO the entire day!

Even though I had deodorant at home (the very thing that would fix my problem) I decided that I didn’t need to apply it.

James 1:22–25 ESV

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

As Christians we are not called just to simply come to church on Sundays and hear the word, but we are all called to know, understand, and apply the word of God in our lives.

Armor of God

How? How can I apply Gods word to my life?

Ephesians 6:11 ESV

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

As Christians if we do not equip ourselves with the truth of the word of God we are unable to stand against evil.

It Is A Choice

We have the choice to apply worldly ideals to our lives and act in a way that reflects those ideals.

We also have the choice to apply scripture to our lives and A.C.T. in a way that reflects the Holy Spirit in us.
