Psalm 31:25 to 29
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
The last chapter of Provers is a highlight of the high qualities of a woman, of which from what I have heard from her daughter and others here today, are representative of the lady that was Joan.
Strength and dignity was the hallmark of her life – no fan fair, no fuss required she lived her life in the quietness of her faith and the determination to do her best.
86 years of wisdom and faithful instruction – obvious as we see the fruit of her life in the qualities of her children AND grandchildren. Adored and cherished but please no fuss by her beloved grand kids.
The bread of idleness was not found in her pantry. Growing up in the dark times around her youth, there was a resilience and a determination to overcome whatever was thrown to her. With her late husband
