Matthew 5:3

Beatitudes come from Latin beati = happy or fortunate person or “blessed are”

This was popularized by the original Latin translation of the Bible called the Vulgate

It is blessed to be spiritually impoverished

For the good news to be good…the bad news has to bad

you must recognize your need for a Savior
