Into-
At the end of the nineteenth century, a young mother was making her way across the hills of South Wales, carrying her tiny baby in her arms, when she was overtaken by a blinding blizzard. She never reached her destination alive, and when the blizzard had subsided her body was found beneath the snow. But the searchers discovered that before her death she had taken off all her outer clothing and wrapped it about her baby.
And when they unwrapped the child, to their great surprise and joy, they found he was alive and well. She had given her life for her child, proving the depth of her mother-love. Years later that child, David Lloyd George, grown to manhood, became prime minister of Great Britain, and without doubt one of England’s greatest statesmen.
He would lead his country during WW1 and first utilized the strategy of a convoy against German U-Boats.
Mother-love is the greatest of human love ONLY Gods love is greater.
MARY JESUS’ MOTHER

Faith

Luke 1:28–33 ESV
28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” 29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
Luke 1:34–38 ESV
34 And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?” 35 And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God. 36 And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. 37 For nothing will be impossible with God.” 38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
Moms have incredible faith.
Mary was told
You’ll have a son
Your barren cousin will have a son
You’re Son will be the Savior
😳 Mary said, I am a servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.
Believe in their children
It doesn't matter what you've done, you’re still their child.
She had such faith in us, we didn’t dare fail! Her unbounded confidence nudged me into starting to believe in myself. - Ben Carson

Love

John 2:1–5 ESV
1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
She was concerned for the couple that thhey embarrassed.
MOTHER POWER He’s God, but she’s mom.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, made very few decisions unless he discussed them first with his mother.
Andrew Carnegie’s mother begged him not to marry until after her death—which he did. One year after her death he finally married … at the age of 52.
Churchill once said, I owe everything to my mother

Loyalty

Mary was last to leave
John 19:26–27 ESV
26 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
HTT COURSE I remember my first day of school. I met the sweetest kindergarten teacher you’ll ever meet. She was my father’s teacher in school, my aunts and my uncles, they all said she was the sweetest. It didn’t matter. She wasn’t mom. I wanted mom. I told mom to stay with me until I was done with school. She stayed outside the classroom until the end of the day. I checked thoughout the day. She did that for three days.
