looking for life

Nations and New Life

confusing language because we just got done talking about the mystery and unity

the same word for “gentiles” can be translated as “the world”

ignorance due to hardness of heart- they refuse to believe the ends and so their means are justified to their selves

they are ignorant of how their selfishness does no good

but you and I are not ignorant and are without excuse

we can’t have unity and be one as long as people are still trying to hold on to their old sinful selves

Put Away Evil

speak the truth- a sentence with double meaning

let your whole life be what the truthful intent of all the things in it are supposed to be

anger, work, speech,etc- let them all be in the place that they are supposed to be

God creates all of these things for good and gives you the opportunity to recognize that and enjoy the good that comes

everything else is unfruitful- produces nothing

do God’s will and you will have the fulfillment you are looking for, that the world is looking for

Application

people spend their whole lives striving after empty things

they believe they understand value but are willfully ignorant to where it comes from

everything but following the one who made the good things will miss out on them
