There are many persons that find hard to believe in God, we not only believe in God, we believe something more incredible, we believe that believes in the man, and even more incredible: a God who loves the man.
1. God is not far from us.
Go is no a far God who created the word and them he goes, and abandon us:
Saint Paul asserts this: He is not far from any of us; for in Him we live, move and exist…
But he sustains us and move us not only with power, but he move us with his love….
The Lord is good with all, is kind with all his creatures, as the Psalm 144 says.
We can meditate on the goodness of God that covers us all day long, as Saint Ignacio Says, he keeps everything created: the plants, the animals, all for our service.
God love us so much, that he created all that surrounded us to make us partakers of his love.
The next time that you stop and admires the beauty of the nature that surrounds you, think God didn’t do it randomly, he did out of love for me.
The Saints did no see in the nature one God, but the love of God
Praise be to you, my Lord, in all your creatures, especially in the Lord brother sun, through whom you give us the day and enlighten us.
Praise be to you, my Lord, for the sister moon and the stars, in the sky you made them clear and precious and beautiful.
Praise be to you, my Lord, for brother wind, and for the air, and the cloud, and the serene sky, and all weather, for all of them you give sustenance to your creatures.
Praise be to you, my Lord, for sister earth.
2. He has given us what he loves most.
But God not only created the earth and everything that surrounds it for man, but when man rejected Him God came to his rescue by giving what He loved most to His son... there is no greater proof of God's love than Christ's self-giving...
That is why they say that at the moment of the judgment Jesus will appear with his wounds, with the instruments of his martyrdom, showing us how he has loved us and how we have answered to this love.
3. He only asks us for love in return.
The only thing Christ asks of us in return is that we love Him, but He ask for it because He loved us first...
Why does He ask us to love Him?
He asks us because he wants us to be happy:
and he who has found the love of God has found happiness, and the only thing you have to do to keep it is to keep the commandments, and if we have the misfortune to break them, return to God through confession.
4. We will never happy unless we love God.
We will never be happy if we don't have God, ask the people that if the power, the money the fame, make them happy, how many artists and business man live depress…
“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made know through Jesus Christ.”
― Pascal
We are only happy in the measure that we live and feel loved, we can be happy with measure because we can live God with our measure. Because the measure of God is love with out measure. As Saint Bernard Says.
5. God is love and in that love is our happiness:
I, Catherine, servant of the servants of Jesus, write to you in her precious blood, desiring that you be feed and nourished by the love of God...
… He who possesses the love of God finds in it so much joy thatany bitterness is transformed into sweetness, and every great weight becomes light. There is nothing to be surprised about because, by living in charity, one lives in God:
"God is love; he who is in love dwells in God and God dwells in him."
Living in God, therefore, one cannot have any bitterness, for God is infinite delight, sweetness, and joy!
This is why God's friends are always happy! Even when we are sick, destitute, afflicted, troubled, persecuted, we rejoice.
Even if all the tongues that speak evil were to criticize us, we would not care, since we rejoice and enjoy everything, because we live in God, our rest, and taste of his love.
In love with God, we obtain the love of Jesus crucified, always following in his footsteps and walking with him on the path of humiliation, punishment and injury.
Embrace Jesus crucified, and in him you will find true life, because he is God who became man. Let your heart and soul burn for the fire of love obtained from Jesus nailed to the cross!
Therefore, if you want to be happy, love God,
if you want to keep that happiness,
keep His commandments,
because he who loves does not offend,
he who loves God does not want to offend Him.
