Introduction.
We in a series called one small step,we doing evangelism series in the K4c,Youth basically the whole church, is focusing on us changing people's lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
If it takes one small step to change a person's eternal destiny, and transform their world, a person that meets Jesus can never be the same again. We called to introduce people to Jesus one person at a time.
God has called us to be history makers.
God has called us to be plante  shakers.
God has called us to write history on earth and make heaven rejoice
God has called us to transform the city.
God has called us to be blessed to be a blessing.
God has called us to transform lives.
God has called us to transform our friends' lives and then see the gospel spread through them.
God has called us to be a witness for Jesus in word and deed, in showing and telling ,living and preaching.
God has called us to witness to our friends in  the gifts of the Holy Spirit which are signs, wonders and miracles.
God has called us to  fulfill the great commandment  and great commission.
There are 2 types of evangelism God wants us to develop in and grow in.
Come and see evangelism-
We are loving and kind to the people that come in, we serve with our different gifts etc, we intentionally talk to people and build healthy relationships with them.
Go and tell evangelism, We share our testimony
John 4:1–26 (NIV)
1Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John—
2  although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples.
3So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee.
4Now he had to go through Samaria.
5So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph.
6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”
8(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
9The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
10Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?
12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,
14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
15The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
16He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
17“I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband.
18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
19“Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet.
20Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
21“Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
22You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
25The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
26Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”
1 EVERY PERSON HAS VALUE
John 4:6–8 (NIV)
6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”
8(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
This  Samaritan woman was considered an outcast, from the community because she was promiscuous.
How do we know this, the other women of the village would come and draw water in the morning when it was cool but she came at noon in the heat of the day because she was not accepted by the other women as she was living a lifestyle of sin.
The gospel has the power to change lifes, the gospel is the story of Jesus.
Jesus is the gospel, He is the good news full of grace and truth.
So Jesus, tired of his journey, is sitting down , and He chats to the women Full  of grace and truth and he knows that this woman's life is going to be transformed by Him to transform other people's lives.
Paul said this
Romans 1:16 (NIV)
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
People matter to Jesus and Jesus has the power to transform  them to transform others.
We need to have eyes like Jesus
A heart of compassion like Jesus.
And a belief system, or a faith system like Jesus that people's lives will be transformed to transform others.
The difficult part for us as christian is this thing of judging, now we need to judge, but we need to judge with redemptive eyes meaning that Jesus can transform a life to transform others.
We don't know why this lady lived a promiscuous life, we don't know why she did what she did.
Maybe she was starving  for attention, acceptance and  love and she received it in the wrong place.
Once a person encounters Jesus and drinks from Him the living water.
They do not want to drink from the well of
Lust,
Addiction.
Unhealthy comparing that can lead to coveting.
Depression.
Full of pride.
If people keep on living there, meaning living their life  without  Jesus.
They will become a prisoner of lust, addiction, racism, angry every destructive behavior to mankind.
However when a believer like you raise;s in maturity in Christ
full of the anointing and you share JESUS WITH THEM IN THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT AND THEY ENCOUNTER JESUS THEY GET TRANSFORMED TO TRANSFORM OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES AND
THEY BECOME A  prisoner of hope believing  again and living life with a new purpose.
Zechariah 9:12 (AMP)
12Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you.
You have tremendous value, and you are loved and needed by God to transform people's lives with the gospel;
Your friends are loved and needed by God too .
God is calling us to change the world one person at a time.
2 SHARING THE STORY OF JESUS CAN BE DONE IN THE SUPERNATURAL.
John 4:16–20 (NIV)
16He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
17“I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband.
18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
19“Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet.
20Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
Our example in life is  to imitate Jesus, we need to strive to imitate Him.
Jesus is fully God and fully man.
We copy his example, we live a lifestyle dependent on prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit living out the word of God.
Jesus operated in a Supernatural  word of Knowledge and as a result of this gift of the spirit operating this woman's hearts was opened up.
The gift of the spirit operated to reveal  Jesus.
John 4:25–26 (NIV)
25The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
26Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”
The gifts of the Spirit still operate to reveal Jesus.
We should desire all 9 gifts of the Spirit daily as a way of lifestyle.
1 Corinthians 12:7–11 (NIV)
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
10  to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
In simplicity there are 9 gifts of the Spirit.
3 We know something supernatural..
3 we say something supernatural
3 we do something supernatural.
Starart to ask God daily for the gifts of the spirit to be released to help you reach your friends with the gospel message.
Tonight at 17:00 I will do some teaching on the gifts of the Spirit if you want to go further in this.
3. JESUS SAVES US AND RESTORES  US BACK INTO COMMUNITY.
John 4:28–30 (NIV)
28Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,
29“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
30They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
This lady was an outcast, but when she met Jesus He restored her self worth to go back into community and gather, share the gospel and gather people int community.
Jesus resorts Christ centered family focused communities.
4. WHEN IS IT TIME TO SHARE THE GOSPEL OR FOR PEOPLE TO GIVE THEIR LIFE TO JESUS.
John 4:34–35 (NIV)
34“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.
35Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
2 Corinthians 6 (NIV)
1As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.
2 For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
3We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.
The time to reach people is now..
Today is the day of salvation to share the gospel and to receive the gospel.
In closing.
God has called all of us to change the city one person at a time by sharing the gospel.
Will you accept this and start to pray for God's anointing to fall on you to empower you to be an effective witness.
