But, It does not say that a mom is soft.
How many of you are afraid of your mom?
Mom’s are tough and need to be.
But, there is a tenderness in her toughness
There is caring in her crossness
There is affection in her admonition
And, a mom’s love for her kids doesn’t stop when they leave the home.

Our Response - Proverbs 31:28

Proverbs 31:28–29 NASB95
Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: “Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all.”
To rise up
to stand up in respect and honor - a standing ovation...
to provide…a blessing
To bless
to pronounce happiness.
To follow a straight path in understanding.
1 Peter 3:7 NASB95
You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

False Praise? No.

You excel them all? No one is perfect...
It’s the idea of honor and value.
Hyperbole. She might not excel them all, but in our eyes it’s as if you do.
Husbands, do you praise your wife for being the mother of your kids?
Proverbs 31:30 NASB95
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
A woman who fears the Lord...
So, Let’s praise our mothers today. We’ll start by bringing the kids up for a closing children’s message.
