Romans 1:1 - Paul's Secret to Success

Introduction

I do not know if the Apostle Paul is the greatest Christian to ever live. I do know his testimony: 1 Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” The Apostle Paul accomplished so much by grace power. I know the Apostolic Office has ceased. Paul was gifted with grace to accomplish more than most Christians. Yet, every Christian has been given grace to save and grace to serve. Ephesians 4:7 “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” Why does it appear that we are powerless with our grace?

Our default in justifying the lack of God’s amazing power working through us is His sovereignty and purposes. Honestly, it is too easy for us to hide inside the cloak of God’s sovereign purpose as an excuse for little power!

Could the problem be us?
