You can never fully know God the Father without God the Son.
I. The Image of God
a. Image is translated from the greek word Icone
i) Colossians 2:9 “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
ii) John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
iii) John 1:18 “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
iv) Hebrews 1:3 “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
v) Matthew 11:27 “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.”
II. The Firstborn of all creation
i) Speaks of his status or place not his creation or beginning because he has no beginning.
ii) Psalm 89:27 “Also I will make him my firstborn, Higher than the kings of the earth.”
iii) Jesus is above all
iv) He has all rights responsibilities of the Adult firstborn Son.

i) John 1:3 “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
ii) Hebrews 11:3 “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

i) Romans 11:36 “For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
ii) Psalm 24:1–2 “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods.”
