John 2:1–5 ESV
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Woman?
Imagine my son, “Xander, there is a lot of laundry on my bedroom floor that needs folding.” ....
“Woman, what concern is that to me?”
My hour has not yet come.
John 7:30 “So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.”
John 8:20 “These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.”
John 12:23 “And Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.”
John 12:27 ““Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.”
John 13:1 “Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.”

MESSAGE:
Everything traces back to the beginning, the creation (John 1.1-3).
“In the beginning”
“All things made by him”
“This is who was with God in the beginning”
Six days of creation (John 1-2).
Day 1 - John is not the One (1:26)
John 3:28–29 ESV
You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.’ The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.
Day 2 - The Lamb of God (1:29)
Day 3 - The Lamb of God (1:35)
Day 4 - The One promised to open the garden (1:43, 51)
Day 7 - The wedding (1:43)
3. Woman and the new creation, the wedding of Adam and his bride (John 2.6-11).
a. The first creation was broken by humanity rejecting God’s kingdom.
b. Human nature changed.
c. We bear the image of our earthly fathers by birth.
d. Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.””
e. Revelation 12:4–5 “... And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne,”
CONCLUSION:
The seventh day is coming.
Hebrews 4:9 “So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God,”
Hebrews 4:11 “Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.”
Believers, the new creation has begun.
The unclean to clean
The reign of Jesus
The enslavement to sin, to freedom
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
You must be born again.
John 3:10 “Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?”
John 3:3 “Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.””
