Who are we fighting against?

So we know there is a battle now what?

What if? situation “Someone is coming to attack your family tomorrow, What do you do?”

A plan and armor.

Ephesians 6:10–13 CSB

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens. For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.

Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest,

Stand, stand, stand three times!

What truth are we to where?

Why not our truth? If your truth in opposite of GOD’S truth your truth is a lie.

This is one of those schemes of the devil to make people think that they can have their own truth.

We get to wear the right action of Christ into battle!

This is what protects the vital organs!

Ephesians 6:15 CSB

and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.

shoes protect our feet from the trail ahead.

Readiness

Know how to share the gospel and take and share it as you move through the battle.

Ephesians 6:16 CSB

In every situation take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Do you believe that Jesus can defeat Satan and his schemes?

Let me remind you how Jesus has already defeated Satan.

There will be arrow sent your way but you must trust in your faith in Christ to overcome.

Ephesians 6:17 CSB

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the word of God.

The helmet covers and protects the head.

Why would you want to wear the helmet of salvation on your head.

I think many of our battle are lost in our heads.

Cover those thought with the blood of Christ.

“The sword of the Spirit which is the word of GOD”

The only offensive weapon in the list!

The Word of GOD is how we fight back.

It is how Jesus fought back against the devil’s schemes.

Matthew 4:3–4 CSB

Then the tempter approached him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” He answered, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Deuteronomy 8:3 CSB

He humbled you by letting you go hungry; then he gave you manna to eat, which you and your ancestors had not known, so that you might learn that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Matthew 4:5–7 CSB

Then the devil took him to the holy city, had him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: He will give his angels orders concerning you, and they will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” Jesus told him, “It is also written: Do not test the Lord your God.”

Do not test the Lord your God as you tested him at Massah.

Matthew 4:8–11 CSB

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus told him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.” Then the devil left him, and angels came and began to serve him.

Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
