97 Oh how I love your law!
It is my meditation all the day.
98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies,
for it is ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers,
for your testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the aged,
for I keep your precepts.
101 I hold back my feet from every evil way,
in order to keep your word.
102 I do not turn aside from your rules,
for you have taught me.
103 How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Through your precepts I get understanding;
therefore I hate every false way.
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.

Introduction
2024 Christian Theme:
Spiritually Mature in Truth
The Bible teaches us that being spiritually mature means being grounded in the truth of God's Word. As Christians, we are called to not only believe in Jesus Christ, but also to live out His teachings and share them with others.
Theme: "Spiritually Mature in Truth" (1 Timothy 3:16)
Throughout the year, we will explore 12 sub-themes based on biblical principles that will guide us in our journey toward spiritual maturity. Each sub-theme is accompanied by a Bible reference that serves as a foundation for our understanding and growth.
1. The Spirit of Love (John 15:12)
2. The Truth about Salvation (Romans 10:9)
3. Growing in Grace (2 Peter 3:18)
4. The Power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8)
5. Understanding God's Word (Psalm 119:105)
6. Walking in Obedience (1 John 2:5-6)
Today, we will unravel the beauty of walking in God's divine light, guided by His eternal Word.
Objectives and Biblical References
1. To Understand the Power of God's Word in Guiding Us
1. To Understand the Power of God's Word in Guiding Us
Psalm 119:105 - God's Word is the ultimate guide in our lives.Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord for direction and guidance.James 1:22 - The importance of being doers of the Word, not just hearers.
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Illustration: Consider the story of Joshua, who was commanded to meditate on the Book of the Law day and night. This obedience and unwavering focus on God's Word led him to success and prosperity in leading the Israelites.
2. To Recognize the Word as a Source of Revelation and Growth
2. To Recognize the Word as a Source of Revelation and Growth
Hebrews 4:12 - The Word's power to discern thoughts and attitudes.2 Timothy 3:16-17 - Scripture as God-breathed, useful for teaching, rebuking, and growing in righteousness.1 Peter 2:2 - Longing for pure spiritual milk for growth in salvation.
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—
3. To Commit to a Daily Walk in the Light of the Word
3. To Commit to a Daily Walk in the Light of the Word
Ephesians 5:8-9 - Walking as children of light, the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.Matthew 7:24-27 - The wise builder who hears and acts upon Jesus' words.Colossians 3:16 - Allowing the message of Christ to dwell among us richly.
8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),
24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
