I would start making fun of her. I would make fun of her disability. My mom said She is going to get enough of that from the world. She does not need it from her brother. We want to build others up at the cost of ourselves.
Elevate others at the cost of ourselves.

They know how to compete
They are coachable. They know how to be coached.
They are more about the team. It is about us and we. It is about the team.
A new kind of thinking leading to unity and Holiness
United Worship and how is united worship to be achieved
Things that can divide which should not divide. The whole purpose of the Gospel is united worship.
A call to united worship.
Romans 15:1 HCSB
1 Now we who are strong have an obligation to bear the weaknesses of those without strength, and not to please ourselves.
Paul counted himself as one who is strong. The strong one is the one who has a clear conscience to eat in freedom or less restrictions on days.
These are issues that are causing divisions that should not be causing divisions among the people.
The strong one who has freedom to do so should have an obligation to the weakness of those without strength
The strong one should not strain or stress the conscience of the weak
Often the need to justify our free conscience we have a desire to get those who are weak to join us in our freedom activity because it makes us feel better about us.
We should not make demands on the conscience of another.
Another great question to ask when trying to make a decision is
Will this decision cause the conscience of another stress or strain on them?
Romans 15:2 HCSB
2 Each one of us must please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
The opposite of straining another’s conscience is to do what must please his neighbor for his good and to build him up.
We don’t make demands that stress another’s conscience rather we make demands on the account of love.
We want to love first. Do what builds up. Do what builds up. Seek to share with others and make others happy.
How can I make life easier for this person? How can I make things better for them?
What can I do for this person so that we might worship together?
Romans 15:3 HCSB
3 For even the Messiah did not please Himself. On the contrary, as it is written, The insults of those who insult You have fallen on Me.
The great example and standard for this is our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ did not please himself.
Philippians 2:7

7 Instead He emptied Himself

by assuming the form of a slave,

taking on the likeness of men.

He quotes Psalm 69:9 which is a picture or foretelling of what it would be like when Jesus Himself actually came and took upon himself the sufferings of His people and of the world.
This is a whole redefinition of Power.
Mark 10:42–45 HCSB
42 Jesus called them over and said to them, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles dominate them, and their men of high positions exercise power over them. 43 But it must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave to all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life —a ransom for many.”
Build your life around the story of Jesus. Want to become great? Be a servant first. Build your conscience around the story of Jesus. Christ as Lord did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life.
Think Jesus first
Think Gospel first

Does a strong Christian think he is making a great sacrifice by giving up some food or drink? Then let him measure his sacrifice by the sacrifice of Christ. No sacrifice we could ever make could match Calvary.
Romans 15:4 HCSB
4 For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures.
Whatever was written in the past was written for us to learn from.
This whole story of the Bible is to build us up. It is the whole of scripture that helps us see who God is. Helps us to know God.
Through the whole story we may have hope and patience/endurance. (Chapter 5)
Romans 15:5 HCSB
5 Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement allow you to live in harmony with one another, according to the command of Christ Jesus,
God of Patience/endurance and encouragement
Allow you to live in harmony with one another
Romans 15:6 HCSB
6 so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with a united mind and voice.
The goal of Romans is to give us doctrines that encourage us to live together in the community of believers. In harmony.
How do we worship together?
With a united mind and voice
Romans 15:7 HCSB
7 Therefore accept one another, just as the Messiah also accepted you, to the glory of God.
Accept (Welcome) one another just as the messiah also Welcomed you
to the Glory of God
mutual welcome will result in shared worship and nobody else not Caesar nor nobody can produce a human community like this.

The Gospel

Romans 15:8 HCSB
8 For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,
He became a servant to the Jew first. God was faithful to his promises
Romans 15:9 HCSB
9 and so that Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles, and I will sing psalms to Your name.
Psalm 18:49.
Romans 15:10 HCSB
10 Again it says: Rejoice, you Gentiles, with His people!
Deuteronomy 32:43.
Romans 15:11 HCSB
11 And again: Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; all the peoples should praise Him!
Psalm 117:1.
Romans 15:12 HCSB
12 And again, Isaiah says: The root of Jesse will appear, the One who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in Him.
Isaiah 11:10.
Rises up/ resurrection
rule the nations. He is commanding a world wide allegiance to Jesus as Lord. Jesus is the Messiah. He is the One that Isaiah is speaking of.
Isaiah 11:6–7 HCSB
6 The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat. The calf, the young lion, and the fatling will be together, and a child will lead them. 7 The cow and the bear will graze, their young ones will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
Romans 15:13 HCSB
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
