Today we're talking today is Pentecost Sunday. I've had four different messages that the lord gave me to to speak about today. So if you're hopefully you're not in a hurry to get home. I'm going to have you up here preaching out of Hebrews chapter 4. the beginning of Hebrews 4 I'm serious. I'm serious about that bill. I know you've got a lot of words in there. It's not so much a road because a road is it was like you could take a road to get there. But what is A road or a journey. We need to seek Pentecost or the Holy Spirit life changing reality in our life when we have the Holy Spirit into our life is a life-changing thing that happens to us. And we need to we need to start looking at that and what it means and how it happens. When we think about it it look at the disciples said they are there Pentecost experience. Will you don't we all or most of us know about the Pentecostal experience of the Apostles? Right? They were sitting in the room waiting they have been waiting there were over five hundred of them, but some of them get tired of waiting around Do you get tired of waiting for something? Especially me finishing my sermons, right? Haha quiet.

But big filtered out with these people these disciples filled it out and it was left with 120 up in the upper room for the holy spirit of God came and we're going to be talked a little bit about this but one of the things that I want to touch about before I begin preaching it's just a while they were up there praying and waiting. They heard a rushing the sound of like a rushing wind. Has anybody ever heard a very strong blowing wind? anybody did you hear ever hear one where you able to see the wind? I am I know I am I read it. The Bible told me so it wasn't the wind if it sounded like a rushing wind. I mean if you ever been near on a tornado or hurricane, I have up in the Dakotas. I was up to you years ago over 30 years ago taking my son to Bible College up in South Dakota and we were crossing the plaintiff there and you could see tornado in white say see tornadoes. A tornado, but there were several of them were just coming across the Plains and we have to find a safe area, but you could hear the wind rushing and you can see the effects of it. They tornado twisting around picking up things off the ground. Thank God it didn't pick me up and that's what I can account for some of my way to keep you down on the ground. That was a that was a joke is supposed to thank you John. But you see the effects but you didn't see the the win they heard everybody that was up there. They heard this when they hear but the people that were outside they were gathered to get together for Pentecost the day of Pentecost and we're going to go with little bit until what Pentecost she is before I go to the explanation of what I receiving the holy spirit is and what it means and I know Aunt would it's sad about that cuz she doesn't like talking about the Holy Spirit your little things like that. But anyhow Pentecost was the day that people outside heard it and then all the sudden they heard this language. And I do these hundred and twenty. They were many people outside from different countries coming back to Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost. They were basically instructed to go back to Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost, but they heard somebody speaking my to Spanish friends upfront here. I am now, but you heard me Be your own dialect from your own country, which is a little bit different Peru is a little bit different correct from each other, but you heard me speaking clearly.

Would you be surprised you would wonder what was going on? Cuz you would say to people behind of he's speaking of perfect Peruvian or or Russian or Ukrainian if your Russian Ukrainian language is slightly different. Are you talkin to a Spanish person? They might not understand. You exactly because Spanish from Spain is different than or three Peruvian Puerto Rican and Mexican English only speak sometimes in English.

We speak in English. Sometimes it's different depending on the part of the country that you coming from yous guys do that, right? Cuz you're from Pennsylvania if you guys but if you were from even though you're from Pennsylvania, if you heard something about you'ens would you know, what you want is to Pittsburgh. But have a totally different language on the other side of the state and the things that they say it's different and that's what the people that were there outside of the upper room were thinking about so let me get into the the message Father. We would understand everything that you want to say to us today in Jesus name we pray. Amen. So I felt the Lord was saying to me this isn't so much a journey that we are going to be taken. That takes us towards Pentecost, but rather a road you can go on a journey, right? Our grandson is going on a journey. And that Journey might take him what it's going to take him from Pittsburgh to New York via road. Then he's going to have to take a shuttle to the airport and then they're going to have to get on a plane and then they're going to have to fly somewhere else and then when they landed going to have to take another way for this many different ways when you go on a journey that you can travel, correct. But the road to get there is a distinct Road. You see a journey looks like it looks at the destination not so much as how do you get there? That is there are a multitude of options that we can go to go on a journey, but we can hop on a plane is a set of my grandson is doing to fly to the destination when we can drive or take a bus or train a boat or even walk but that this nation is what is most important how we get there is not so much as important but getting there the road on the other hand has a Define perimeter. If you taken a road, there's a certain way that you have to go if you take a wrong turn which I've done many times do we end up someplace else? So you have to watch the road that you're going on? Jesus said not my will be done but your will oh Lord. Calvary the Latin word meaning skull

God is got something better for you or to have sickness or disease where we say this across that I bear. That's not the cross that you bear. What it means to pick up one's Christ is to die to ourselves to our own flesh to our own wheels in our own desires God. are the destiny that he has for our lives and it's what I referred to is living a sacrificial life or Cross of life who has given up their own desires to follow Christ who has given up things in their life to follow Christ to do what he is called us to do. Baby by coming to Christ your family is pushed you aside because of the fact that you are now a Believer, you're not doing the same things that they do. You can be a witness just by not doing what they do. I was with somebody the other night. I haven't go on a car with them with the gift of life and is this guy is a retired police officer from New York City? And when we started off the drive. about every third or fourth word was be able to enough and ended with a G. Is it all of a sudden I didn't say a word when I was responding to him. I was responding like it would respond to you all of a sudden. I think the lord gave a flash of light.

Each one has their own spontaneous or delivered role in life. We pray to God the father in the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. It seems like a lot to go through right we pray to God, but we go through Jesus. In the Holy Spirit, there's a there's a way that we're supposed to God is in heaven. God is omnipresent. He's everywhere right? But he's in heaven. That's the location. Jesus is where he's sitting at the right hand of the father. Which means said he should have it but Jesus is still here with us. but what Jesus was ready to go to heaven? What did he say?

I will sit back. I would leave you with a comforter. Somebody was going to well within you somebody that's going to live within you just like a mother who's pregnant. She's got somebody living in her right Joe. You had that little one he's living you for nine months. You could feel her growing, right? But that's some of the Holy Spirit lives within you. The holy spirit is the intercessor to Jesus for you. The intercessor will speak to you this person who abide our lives in you with 2,000 you is there to speak to you to tell you the wonders of Jesus Christ, so Who is the spirit is the third person of the Trinity the Holy Spirit empowers us to to be Witnesses. So through the power of the Holy Spirit when I was with you from the other night. I said nothing but the butt because of The Power Within Me by saying nothing much was being said so much that it convicted him of the things that he was saying.

So you see you don't even have to speak. You could just be in the presence of somebody else. A living for Christ. You have to have committed your life to Christ and His holy spirit will dwell within you. It says the next chapter 1 verse 8, but you will receive the power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my Witnesses in Jerusalem and all with your day and Samaria and to the ends of the Earth. So that no matter where you go. You will be a witness for Jesus Christ and he is witness through you through you by the power of the Holy Spirit was giving you the Holy Spirit Will Set us and gives us life. It says in Romans 8:11, and if the spirit of him who who raised Jesus from the dead is Vivian you who he who raised Christ from the dead Will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who lives in you so you won't have life. Your mortal body will have life kisses beautiful is within you the Holy Spirit reveals truth and resides at a firm's what God is what is in God's worried. It's something that doesn't line up with the Bible if something doesn't light up for the Bible. That's when that is not the voice of the spirit on a John 14:16 270 when somebody says to do something if it doesn't line up with God's worried and again, I'm not picking on people who have had abortions. Can I do Penance by know many people who have had abortions and I'm not here to give you a guilt trip, but I'm here to say it when the when the world says we are doing great things out there by offering a portion to anyone and everyone to be able to murder that child within them. That's not right. Does that line up with the word of God? If there's a commandment says Thou shalt not kill once their conception is made there is a baby that's being born that's living within you you imagine if Mary had an abortion.

When the Holy Spirit put the seed of Jesus in her womb. We have no Jesus. No, right. God does not want us to kill. I'm sorry, that's a little side note. But you know, what if you if any of you have ever had an abortion? Know that God still loves you.

He forgives you. He will try you on to him. Just as if you would never have sent. He loves you remember that he will never leave you nor forsake you yes, you have done something you ask for forgiveness and he will forgive you. That's it. If murder is just as bad as be cussing.
