Church Hopping

1 Timothy 5:24-25

Why I would leave a church:

Disqualified pastor/deacons

Doctrinal heresies

Denominational loyalties

Here is why 99% of church hopping happens.

I. Failure to communicate.

Pastors do not call previous pastors.

Churches are so glad to have someone without evangelism.

II. No accountability.

People do not realize that they are running up a bill. (1 Corinthians 3:10-23)

Bills get paid.

III. Lack of responsibility.

Commitments are loosely made. (Psalm 37:5; Proverbs 16:3)

Convenience is the new god. (Acts 24:25)

IV. Absence of prayer.

Proof? What was today’s devotional passage?

What was today’s Bible reading?

V. Presence of sin.

A false witness of information. (Romans 13:9)

A fake loyalty is exposed.(2 Peter 2:3)

Conclusion:

What if we stay?

Psalm 92:13 “Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.”
