But we're starting a new series on the book of Hebrews. And seeking turn to the book of Hebrews. It's right before the Book of James right after Paul's letters the last one being Philemon. And the sermon series I've titled is Jesus is better. Simple series, but that's what we're going to see throughout. The chapters is that Jesus is better. He's better than the Angels. He's better than Moses. She's better than the priesthood. He's better than the sacrifices. He's better than the old Covenant. He's better. And this book is a sermon. And I become convinced through some of my studies that what the author of Hebrews was doing is preaching a sermon on Psalm 110, which is why I preach that 2 weeks ago as a preparation for this. What is Jesus doing right now? He's seated at the right hand of the father ruling and reigning with the greatest Authority and interceding for us as our high priest. When I was in junior high, I had the opportunity to be in plays in the drama club and I was in a stage play of Cs Lewis's The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and it started for me in 9th grade of love for The Chronicles of Narnia. I've read them numerous times since then I've read them to my children. And as I Was preparing this sermon one scene from the second book of Prince Caspian it stood out as appropriate for our introduction Lucy. She encounters Aslan the lion in spoiler alerts Aslan is a metaphor for Christ throughout the Chronicles of Narnia and she sees him shining white and huge in the Moonlight and she's in this I'll read you from CS Lewis in a burst of emotion and Lucy rush to him burying her face in the rich silkiness of his main whereupon the great Beast rolled over. On the side so that Lucy fell half sitting and half lying between his front paws event forward and touched her nose with his tongue his warm breath was all around her. She gazed up into the large wise face. Welcome child. He said Aslan said Lucy you're bigger. That's because you're older little one answered. He not because you are I am not but every year you grow you will find me bigger. And you were how big things were when you were in elementary school, perhaps your room your Elementary School itself. I went over to pennycook recently and that elementary school. I went to sing tiny in comparison to what my mind remembers even your parents perhaps there's a funny story Jennifer's not in here. So I'll tell it Gavin when he was growing up. He has some friends that ended up getting very tall as tall as Gavin or taller and at one point in the junior high years one of his friends said, I didn't know your mom was so small. He grown up with her his whole life and thought she was a giant towering above him and realized she's not so tall.

The older we grow those things that seemed so big get smaller but not so with Jesus. In fact what c.s. Lewis argues has the older we get the bigger he seems The more we grow the bigger and better we currently comprehend Jesus actually, he's bigger than even our comprehension. So we're growing into our knowledge of him. And what I'm excited about the book of Hebrews 4 is it's a sermon on the greatness of Jesus. He's better than anything that's come before in the Old Testament and this book of Hebrews as we see that Jesus is better and he's greater than anything we could possibly imagine. It demands a response from us a response of worship, but it also causes us to grow into the image of Jesus by faith and as we grow we find a bigger and better Christ for our need Now regarding the book of Hebrews. We don't know who the author is the Eastern Church decided it was the Apostle Paul after some evidence others in the early church had argued for Barnabas and Apollo's, but even in the early church, they weren't certain and we don't know today. I would think that it's probably not the Apostle Paul because the author of Hebrews is going to say that he learned of this not directly from Jesus, but by those who saw Jesus and so perhaps it's someone like Barnabas oropallo, sir. Even Luke The Physician, we we're not entirely sure but we do know that from the very beginning the book of Hebrews was considered scripture. Sometimes if there was a question in church history because the author was anonymous But being a sermon. As we're going to see on Psalm 110. I love it. Now that I'm training pastors and I'm able to point them to what a christ-centered expository sermon looks like just look at the book of Hebrews. This is how we should be preaching. I'm not going to read the whole book for you. That would take a fair amount of time these 13 chapters. But what I do want to do is just read to you chapter one to give us context long ago it many times and in many ways God spoke to our fathers by the prophets. But in these last days, he's spoken to us by his son. Homie appointed the heir of all things through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature and he upholds the universe by the word of his power after making purification for sins. He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High having become as much Superior to angels as the name. He has inherited is more excellent then there's For The Witch of the Angels did God ever say you are my son today? I have begotten you were again. I will be to him a father and he shall be to me as son and again when he brings the first born into the world. He says let all God's angels worship Him of the Angels. He says he makes his angels winds and his Ministers of flame of fire. But if the son he says your throne o God is forever and ever the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God. Your God is Anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions and you Lord laid the foundations of the Earth in the beginning in the heavens were the work of your hands. They will perish but you remain they will all wear out like a garment like a robe. You will roll them up like a garment they will be changed but you are the same in your years will have no end. And to which of the angels has he ever said sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet. Are they not all ministering Spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation reading that whole chapter because you see in there two references to Psalm 110 right here in chapter one. It's alluded to in verse 3 that after making purification for sins. He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. And then again, it's explicitly quoted in verse 13 through which of the Angels did he ever say sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet. Now. We're just going to cover the first four verses. What a magnificent paragraph It's poetic. It's a key Azam, which is that, you know, A B B A type structure these verses speak of the revelation of scripture and in operation of scripture God spoke at various times and in various ways to our fathers through the prophets the Old Testament, but in these last days, he's spoken to us in the Sun. The New Testament is speak creation that the father created through the Sun. That speaks of the Trinity the fact that we're speaking of the father and the son and by implication the spirit who is mentioned in chapter one, we have this doctrine of the Trinity. We have the relationship between the Old and New Testaments that implied that yes, there were many ways the father spoke in the Old Testament. But in the New Testament in these last days, he spoken to us in such a one as a son. There's something better about Jesus. There's something greater. It speaks of christology the doctrine of Jesus himself that he's fully God and fully man in these four versus he is the one who is the exact imprint of the nature of God the radiance of the glory of God. He's fully God, but he's also the one who made sure if occasion for sins and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high holy man the heir to the throne and the fact that he made purification for sins and speaks to our Salvation the doctrine of the atonement and so in for versus we have here A whole Systematic Theology a whole Seminary course. for you isn't that glorious? The author of Hebrews is is in 4 versus speaking of the supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus and the fact that he is better back. He's going to use this word cray tone, which is use numerous times to speak of Jesus being better. Reminds me of Jesus remember his first miracle. wedding at Cana His mom comes to him and so say the party's going to be ruined if you need to turn some you need to fix this problem handle it and Jesus. After having a discussion about his time not yet coming. He obeys his mom and he turns water into wine. This miracle that is incredible so that the party the celebration that the feast Could Happen breaking in of the New Covenant this celebration and I love what the the head of the party the guy who was in charge says in John 210. You've kept the good wine until now remembers argument. Normally you give the good wine first and when they get a little tipsy you give the water down cheap stuff. That's what every wedding does but the party organizer says, oh no, you did the opposite Jesus you gave us the best wine now and this is what we see here in inverse one in this passage before us is hey, there were many times in many ways that God the Father spoke through the prophets, sing a song but in these last days, he's spoken to us in a son. He saved the best for last he kept the good wine until now and so we see in verses 1 and 2 the superiority of the Sun the superiority of the Sun in the revelation of scripture long ago it many times. And in many ways. There's a diversity of Old Testament Revelation in I just want to give you a couple specific promises Kidman. Can you switch the slide for me? First is Adam Genesis 3 15 the very first promise that after the Senate enter the world that this descendant of Eve would come and crush the head of the serpent and restore what was lost in the garden last fulfilled in Christ. And then to Abraham in Genesis 12 1 2 3 this promise of I'm going to make your name great. I'm going to give you the land and in you all the nations of the Earth are going to be blessed in your descendant. And of course, there's massive amount of scriptures, but if you turn over to Hebrews chapter 6 verse 13 for when God made a promise to Abraham since he had no one Greater by whom to swear he swore by himself and in verse 17 of chapter 60 and God desire to show more convincingly to The Heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose. He guaranteed it was an old so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for Refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the Hope set before us we have this as a Shore and steadfast anchor of the soul of hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain where Jesus is gone as a forerunner on our behalf. I stopped there cuz I don't want to get into milk is a deck. That's later. We actually talked about him and Psalm 110. What what is the application to this Hebrews 11 already long ago at many times in the many ways God spoke to our fathers. through the prophets The Adam to Abraham, but in these last days, he's spoken to us than the Sun and so what is the consolation we have great. Hope we have great confidence that God keeps his promises and we can go into the very throne room of God into the holy of holies not on Earth, but in heaven itself to appear before God because Jesus our 4Runner has gone before us Jesus's better. This is the superiority of the sun will the promises to Moses in Exodus 3 and 4 including the promise of the law and the promise of a deliver turn over the Hebrews 9:28.

This saying this is the blood of the Covenant that God commanded for you. And in the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both of 10th and all the vessels used in worship indeed under the law almost everything is purified with blood and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. And I'm going to skip down to verse 28. So Christ having been offered once to Bear the sins of many will a second time not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. I guess I really wanted verse 24 Christ enter not into the holy place is made with ants With your copies of the true things but into heaven itself now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. And so Jesus this God speaking in a son promising to Moses that that all of the Old Testament Tabernacle in Temple and sacrificial system would be fulfilled in the Messiah. We find out in the gospel that Jesus didn't offer the blood of bulls and goats. He offered his own blood once for all and he's coming back to save us those who are eagerly waiting for him or God promised to David that one of his descendants would sit on the throne and would inherit the Kingdom forever in Psalm 110 speaks to this sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet. The Lord said to my Lord and of course here, the author of Hebrews is preaching a whole sermon on this. That the superiority of the sun is seen in the fact that after he made purifications Racines. He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Having become far greater than the angels that are The Messengers other prophets speak of the New Covenant that is this Covenant. That would come where God would write in Jeremiah 31 his law on our hearts in Hebrews 8 verses 8 to 12 says he finds fault with them when he says behold the days are coming declares the Lord when I will establish a New Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah not like the Covenant I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. Down 2 verse 10, this is the Covenant I will make with the house of Israel and then he quotes Jeremiah 31. Bruce 11, they showed not teach each one his neighbor and each one his brother saying know the Lord for they shall all know me from the least of them to the greatest for I will be merciful. Tore their iniquities and I will remember their sins no more. So now that Jesus has come the New Covenant promises fulfilled. He's better. He's greater. Even John the Baptist understood this the last prophet of that old Covenant who said I must decrease he must increase after all he's the Lamb of God who doesn't just cover sins for a year. He's the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and so long ago it many times and in many ways. God the Father spoke to our fathers our Patriarchs by the prophets isn't this interesting? It assumes that you'll know your Old Testament that the sermon here that you'll understand all the references. He's pointing to in fact, that's the greatest challenging preaching. This is helping us learn all of those Old Testament references. So you should at least you don't have to keep a finger in the Old Testament as we're going through the book of Hebrews God. The father is a speaking God. I take great encouragement in this that he not only spoke to the prophets, but he spoken in the son. That means he's revealing himself to us and wants us to know him for who he really is. And the best way he can do that is not through visions and dreams. It's through a word that's written that we can all open up and read so that when scripture speaks God speaks. Have you thought about that when you're reading your Bible? This is God speaking to you.

In these last days. This new testament era has dawned that the author of Hebrews in chapter 9 is going to say this again. He appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself Peter in 1st Peter. 1:20 says it this way he was four known before the foundation of the world, but he was manifest in the last times for the sake of you. We're in the last days now until Jesus returns. And this father who is speaking we already get some application right here in the second chapter to this idea. I turned over to Hebrews 23 how shall we escape? If we neglect such a great salvation, it was declared it first by the Lord and it was a tested To Us by those who heard while. Also bore Witness by signs and wonders in various Miracles and Gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will so God has spoken. It was her it was declared by the Lord Jesus and it was a tested or confirmed To Us by those who heard him. That's why I would say the author of Hebrews has is probably not Paul who heard directly from Jesus the author here saying we heard those who saw him who heard directly from Jesus. But the important thing here is if we're hearing how great Jesus is how Superior he is. How would we escape judgment if we neglect such a great salvation? He's going to say later that basically in order for us to go to hell we have to trample the son of God underfoot. Where to put in the open shame we have to treat him as if he's nobody. what a vivid picture But Jesus, who is this mediator of the New Covenant Hebrews chapter 12 says it speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Remember Cain and Abel Abel was killed by Cain and God says Abel's blood is speaking from the ground. And the author of Hebrews says Jesus blood it speaks a better word than then the blood of Abel the blood of Abel spoke of the righteousness of Abel who offered an acceptable sacrifice, but Abel's blood didn't save anybody Jesus blood saves. And so the author of Hebrews says seeds that you do not refuse him who is speaking or if they do not Escape when they refused him who warned them on Earth. How much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from Heaven if you're not a Christian come to Christ Come to this one who is speaking who is revealing the father to you who has made purification for sins? What that means? Is he satisfied the debt you owe because of your sin. He atoned for it. He can cleanse you from your sin and purify you in the eyes of God so that you stand holy and righteous and acceptable and forgiving come to Christ. This is what the father is doing. He's speaking in such a one as a son and this doesn't mean that he's spoken in one son. Who's one among many know. This is his unique Eternal Sun the back later. The author's going to call him the Son of God four times. So he's Superior because of the Revelation he gives he's also Superior because he is the Messianic are in goal of all things. The father has inverse to appointed him the heir of all things John Calvin in the introduction to his institutes on the Christian religion says that all of creation the heavens and the Earth were created as a theater of God's glory the theatrum Gloria Dei in Latin just to be fancy. The theater of God's glory. What does he mean? Will that is a picture of this Earth the heavens and the Earth like a stage like a theater and what is on display? What's the the main attraction? Who is the who's name is in lights? Who's the main actor? It's the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a display for the glory of God in Christ and hear Christ is not only the heir of all things the Messianic are the the goal of all things which is an allusion to Psalm 110. He seated at the right hand of the father all things are being placed under his feet. He's ruling and reigning with the greatest Authority. But also he's the creator of all things through them verse to says he also created the world. It's just as glorious for the Sun and and by implication the Holy Spirit to be the Agents of creation and Providence as it is for the father to be in charge of creation and Providence commanding and directing the sun in the spirit by the Nicene Creed says we believe in one God the Father Almighty maker of heaven and Earth of all things visible and invisible, but here we see it's not the father alone. Who's the creator we can't think of the father is Creator. The sun is Redeemer the spirit of sanctifier because that divides the work of the Triune God here. We see the sun is the one who threw him. All things were created and verse 3 through him. He's upholding the universe by the word of his power. It's improper to equate the father alone with the Creator. It's backed by the Nicene Creed goes on to explain that the sun is the one through whom all things came into existence in the spirit is the Lord and Giver of Life the Lord and life Giver. The father is creating through the son. But in this verse we're seeing he also creates for the benefit of the sun. He's the heir of all things. So not only did he create all things. He's going to inherit all things. There's that picture of the theater the one who created all things is the one who's going to inherit all things and the father is doing this through this son. And for this son. So when we make much of Jesus in our service when we sing about him when we talked about him, when we see that he's the goal of all of our existence that he's the one that we should love and that we should look too and we should is Hebrews is going to say fix our eyes on Jesus and run the race with endurance is because this is the Father's plan to do this to make much of the Sun. Colossians 1:16 Paul writes for by him Jesus all things were created in heaven and on Earth visible and invisible whether Thrones our dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him And this is what he bruised his arguing. He's the heir of all things the father has appointed that he also is the one who created all things now. The reason why I think it's it's backwards to our thinking that the air is first in the creation. The second is because it's this beautiful kiosk some of poetry that these things correspond so verse one God spoke Long Ago by the prophets in these last days. He's spoken to us by a son. So he's superior to the prophets verse for he's superior to the Angels or Messengers that we're going to find out are the ones who brought many times and in many ways that prophecy to the prophets. So those are parallel and then in these last whom he appointed heir of all things is parallel with he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. And he created the world then would be parallel with he upholds the universe by the word of his power. Then they are in the middle. The main points is what we see in verse 3 the glory and the exaltation of the Sun. These three phrases. He is the radiance of the glory of God. Number one. He is the exact imprint of his nature number two. And he upholds the universe by the word of his power number three. This is where the author is wanting us to sit and rest in and think about it emphasized. Everything is leading up to this and everything in verse for is Flowing from this the glory of the sun before all creation as God. He's the radiance of the glory of God and this is not a mere passive reflection of a lesser thing like the moon to our sun in our solar system. But rather this active Radiance that emphasizes his equality with God just as God is light. The sun is lights. He's the radiance of the glory of God. The Nicene Creed goes on to say one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God begotten of the father before all worlds. And then it says light of light very God of very God begotten not made being of one substance with the father by whom all things were made. Sounds like the Nicene Creed was paraphrasing Hebrews 1 verses 3 and 4 because not only is he the radiance of the glory of God. He's also the exact imprint of his nature that imprint at the Greek word character. It was used of coins and all of those things to represent that it is a replica. It is an imprint that is exact. Now Jesus isn't just a copy that's inferior. He is fully God who fully possesses the divine nature. He's the exact imprint of God's nature, which means he's able to save us. Because of who he is, he's God. He's the one who's going to make purification for sins and he's able to save because he's not just a man. He's God and as God, he's also upholding the universe by the word of his power. He's personally and continually involved in sustaining it not only that he has an end goal in mind and he's carrying the universe to that end goal for the author of Hebrews isn't picturing the Greek. God Atlas that's burying the dead weight of the world on his shoulders in some Eternal Purgatory rather. The sun has an objective in his providential government of the universe seated at the right hand of the father ruling in raining. He has a plan he has a purpose. He's carrying us to that appointed end in the sun is returning and he's going to make all things new This is Our Hope and that goal is described in the next line the exec saltation of the sun above all creation as Redeemer, I mentioned it a couple times but after making purification for sins he sat down The author of Hebrews is going to devote to whole chapters to this teaching in chapters 9 and 10, and I just want to take you to the conclusion in 10:22.

I shall read a couple verses to get the context after he had talked about what it means that Christ is the better sacrifice verse 19. Therefore Brothers Brethren brothers and sisters since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus by the New and Living Way that he open for us through the curtain that is through his flesh. And since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a True Heart in full Assurance of Faith with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. There's that same idea of purification. Let us hold fast the confession of Our Hope without wavering for he who promised is faithful. What do we do with this? How do we apply this in our lives today? Will the author of Hebrews says what you should do with this as you should draw near to God and you should draw near and a specific way. You should draw near with full confidence than assurance that your father hears you he wants you to draw near he's made a way you've been purified you've been cleansed. So when you come into the presence of God, you're not coming bearing your own sins. Now, you're coming bearing the righteousness of Christ when the father looks at you. He sees the Perfections of his son. Have you felt like you got to clean yourself up before you draw near? That's not true. The implication of Jesus making purification for sins that you can draw on here. You can come with full assurance. And you can hold fast the confession of your hope without wavering because he who promised is faithful long ago it many times and in many ways God spoke to our fathers through the prophets concerning the Messiah that he was going to come and he was going to make everything right and we've spent 12 weeks in the Minor Prophets looking at all those promises and Jesus is the Fulfillment of it these last days. He has spoken to us in a son. So if God has kept his promises concerning Jesus for hundreds of years, he's going to continue to keep his promises to you and I today That's good news. That's what I need to hear today. Jesus is better than my problems. He's better than my sins is greater than my fears. And I can draw near to the father. in fact This is the implication as I brought out two weeks ago. He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. The author of Hebrews says alluding to Psalm 110. And so because Jesus is ruling and reigning with the greatest Authority because he's interceding is our high priest. We can come near to God and ask him what we need and he's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think. Why does the author of Hebrews argue it throughout we heard that it starts in chapter one, but turned over to 8:1 the point in what we're saying is this we have such a high priest one who is seated at the right hand of the Throne of the Majesty in heaven and then turn over to 10:12, but when Christ had offered for all-time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Waiting from that time until this enemies should be made a footstool for his feet for by a single offering he has perfected for all time. Those who are being Sanctified and then Hebrews 12 verse 2 looking to Jesus the founder and Perfecter of our faith who were the joy that was set before him endure the cross despising the shame and is seated at the right hand of the Throne of God. So as we look to Jesus as we see him for who he is that he's seated at the right hand of the father verse 1 of chapter 12 so we can lay aside every weight and sin that wears us down and we can run the race with endurance. That's what I need to hear today. So that when I face work and the troubles that our families experiencing the troubles that our church is experiencing. I can run the race with endurance knowing Jesus is the author and Perfecter of my faith. Not me Jesus's. That's really really important. When people in the church who are sick with people who are facing deep trials. people who who need prayer who need Jesus to to be their savior. Now, we have people who need Jesus who have not bowed the knee to him that are in our church that are coming. As a pastor can feel incredibly overwhelming. To hear all of these needs and to be helpless to do anything about it. but this reality that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the father that he's made purification for sins that he's better and greater and he's able to save to the uttermost any who come to him by faith. That's my hope. My hope is not in my competence as a pastor My Hope Is In My Savior Jesus the great Shepherd of the sheep the one who's able to save the high priest who seated at the right hand of the father. That should be your hope today. You have a great savior. He's glorious. The exalted son is sharing in his father's throne and power and honor and as a result back in Hebrews 1. He is verse 4.

Become as much Superior to angels as the name. He has inherited is more. Excellent. Then there's the old Covenant was called a message declared By Angels in Hebrews 2 to the New Covenant is a message declared by the sun about the work of the Sun is far superior know I mentioned to you this word Superior or greater or better Creighton is used seven or eight times in the book of Hebrews my rattle off a few it says we have a greater better. Hope Hebrew 7. We have a better Covenant Hebrews 7. We have a better sacrifice Hebrews 9. We have a better possession inheritance Hebrews 10. We have a better country Hebrews 11. We have a better Resurrection Hebrews 11. We have better blood than Abel's in Hebrews 12. So Jesus is better. He's greater. He's Superior. Now this mention of angels is going to contend continue through the rest of the chapter into 2:16. And so I'm not going to mention much about this other than to say that they were messengers of the old Covenant and Jesus is better than them here Jesus as seen as a prophet receiving Revelation from God and bringing it to us as a priest mediating God's salvation as a king receiving Glory and Honor. So these three offices of prophet priest and King are going to be mentioned again and again in the book of Hebrews and just these few words. What do we see about? Jesus is the son of God. He's a revelation of God. He's the Fulfillment of God's revelation in the old Covenant. He's the heir of all things. He's the agent of creation. He's the radiance of God's glory. He's the expression of God's nature. He's the preserver of all creation. He's the purifier of God's people and he's the mediator for God's people that is incredible. This is who Jesus it is. This is what we need and what we learn from this will we have great security if we're in Christ don't we the one who purifies our sins is the Sun not just an animal. It's the son of God. The one who bought us with his blood is the Creator and sustainer of the heaven in Earth. The one who keeps us is the one who upholds all things by the word of his power. We have nothing to fear from past guilt or present weakness instead. We can be strong in our faith in Christ and no one will pluck us from his hand. Now there's a danger for those who are still in unbelief isn't there? How much is the guilt of those who reject the one who is the radiance of God's glory the exact imprint of his nature. Jesus is a mixture of foolishness and ingratitude direct Jack. Jesus is rebellion, which brings condemnation the way that Psalm 110 pictures that the author of Hebrews is going to picture. It is the enemies of Jesus will become a footstool for his feet. Come to Jesus if you don't know him. Well this father the one from whom and through whom to whom are all things to whom be the glory forever is the one who planned and purpose to unite all things in his son. We heard that in a fusion 1:10, and so not only did the father create through the Sun and by the spirit. He also will sustain through the Sun and by the spirit and he's brought new life through the Sun and by the spirit and at the end of the age every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. This is the plan and goal of all of human history.

I think our response to this is simply to worship to praise to fix our eyes on Jesus to see him for who he is to make much of him in our lives. See Jesus can't just be a spoke at the edge of the wheel of Our Lives where it's like I have I have family I have sports I have career. I have health I have Jesus and is just one of the many spokes know. He's the Hub. He's the center of our lives and every other spoke off of that of family and work and entertainment and Sports in all of that needs to be in proper relation to him.

Let's pray father. Thank you for
