The CIT: The Gospel must be our focus if we want to impact the World.
Do you believe the Gospel is powerful?
Do you believe the Gospel can change anyone who believes?
Do you believe God wants to use you to tell others the gospel?
We live ine a day of religious gimmicks...
pastors are more concerned with becoming a “mega-church” than preaching the full counsel of God..
Christians are more concerned with fitting into the world than preaching the gospel to their friends and coworkers
and because of this… many will never hear the good news!
I have met people who were raised in church who couldnt explain the way of salvation before… they were in a church that never preached the Gospel!!!
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Friend, the Gospel still changes lives!
Add two quotes
Friends the Gospel is powerful and ought to be always on the tongues of the people of this church… may we never become “crusty christians”...
Christians who feel like they no longer hear the old old story...
Christians who tune out when the gospel is preached....
But may we be firmly committed and courageous Christians… who love the gospel and preach the gospel to every creature.
I firmly believe God will use you to spread the gospel.
The question is ...
Will you commit to preach it?
will you commit to love it?
will you commit to share it boldy and unashamed?
If your answer is yes...
Join me as we see 3 reasons the gospel should be a priority in your life.

As we enter this portion of the book of Romans, we have to remember that paul is writing this to a church he didnt start and hadnt visited yet.
And he has just spent 15 chapters explaing the gospel to them in depth!
Now he takes a moment to encourage them by saying
I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.
I love this breakdown.. I believe it is something we should want paul to say of Grants Pass Baptist!
that we are full of goodness
Paul here is commending them for their holy lifestyle and their righteous standing in Christ!
They were full of all goodness.. not on their own account, but as brothers in Jesus...
That we are filled with all knowledge.
This shows that Paul knew they were committed to doctrine. I mean, how else could he have written one of the deepest books in the entire Bible if he wasnt certain they loved to learn.
Friend, may that be said of our church… that we arent Christians who can only take milk.. but we are filled with knowledge.
We study the Word of God...
We the love doctrines of scripture..
Which leads to his thirs compliment
Able to Teach each other.
Here he is telling them that He knows what He wrote could have been taught by someone in their local congregation.. and should be!
Friend it is the job of the local church to be able to teach each other the truths of scripture!
And teaching the gospel is such a privilege!!
